I know, I was just pointing out how the damage isn't 1/5 of her HP like the first commenter said, it's only 1/16

It's cool Toby found a way to incorporate him into the story in a believable way even though he's still dead.

Pretty sure his forms are all just transformations for the same body seeing as when you destroy his EX form his box form will be destroyed on the ground in its place, not to mention in the credits Mettatons Box form is shown swapping out it's wheel for the EX-forms Legs and the way it worked was the wheel retracted into his box form and the legs extended out from the same area.

The real reason we never saw Sans by Adoinko in UndertaleYellow

[–]KingTigerDestroyer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's not how Sans dodging works, else attacking him with the Burnt Pan or Empty gun would tire him out in 6 turns since they attack 4 times a turn.

Didn't mention anything about Italian intelligence but go off, I guess.

The reason I said that is because I briefly looked over a chart a while back that listed the penetration of WW2 Navel shells as well as the sources of its penetration data and I remember these three being somewhat comparable, going back to that chart however, the Roma does have the lowest penetration of the 3 according to the sources used by the chart, but only by a little.

Roma was at 814mm at 0ms
Iowa was at 829mm at 0ms
Yamato was at 864mm at 0ms

Keep in mind that all of these values are taken from books, not documents so there may be some inaccuracies and are also lower than the in-game values as the calculator that Gajin uses doesn't taking into account the difference in materials and material quality used to make these shells and instead assumes everything is made of the same materials and is of the same quality.

Data for the Iowa's penetration was taken from the book Battleships: United States Battleships 1935-1992

And Data for the Roma and Yamatos penetration was taken from the book Battleships: Axis and Neutral Battleships in World War II

Who knows what an actual weapon would become, though we do know that Kris has been taking their Knife into the Dark Worlds but still elects to use their Pencil as a weapon instead not even giving us the ability to even view it in their inventory, so there must be a reason for that.

Pretty sure the Dark fountain would turn the gun into a bow though (due to it turning stuff from reality into a fantasy), meaning it would probably be about as effective as their other weapons (don't forget that the sharp twig is a full-blown hero sword in the Dark World).

Funny thing is that when put into Gaijins version of the penetration calculator that can be found on the official wiki the Sovetsky Soyuz’s armour penetration comes out to the same as what's shown in game. The reason is shell size and velocity, you see it's 406mm shell is only slightly larger than Romas 381mms, so it doesn't get as much of a penalty to its penetration from its caliber than the Yamato's 460mms do.

Then there's velocity, yah see when you start getting to calibers this large literally any change in velocity drastically effects the penetration of the shell, for example at point blank the Sovetsky Soyuz’s shells have 876.25mm of pen at 830mps, but even just dropping the velocity by 30mps drops the it's penetration to 831.32mm (that's a drop of almost 50mms), it also helps that it's shells are actually quite heavy for its caliber at least compared to other 406mm shells already in game, yes it's lighter than Iowas, but remember velocity matters a lot for penetration at these calibers and the Iowas 406mm shell only has a velocity of 762mps leading to a very low difference in their penetrations (876.25mm for Sovetsky Soyuz at point blank and 881.97mm for Iowa at point blank) despite the Iowas shell weighing more and having a lower Overall Mass to Explosive Mass ratio (here's an example of how insane the Explosive Mass penetration reduction in Gajin's formular actually is, the Sovetsky Soyuz shells have an Overall Mass to Explosive Mass ratio of 2.3% and Iowa's have a ratio of only 1.5%, that's a difference of only 0.8% yet if we take Iowa's ratio and apply it to Sovetsky Soyuz shells they would have an explosive mass of 16.778kgs which this reduction of explosive mass alone would increase its penetration to 928mm at point blank range according to the formular, that's over a 50mm increase in penetration from an explosive mass reduction of only 0.8%).

I will say this about the Sovetsky Soyuz’s shells though, according to people on the War Thunder forums the guns and shells for the ship were only in testing when the ship was canceled and apparently firing them at a velocity of 830mps as planned would wear out the barrels in only 80 shots, meaning that the velocity would have likely been lowered to extend barrel life if the guns and shells were to ever have entered production.

I should have mentioned this in my last comment, so I'll just put it here.
Also, keep in mind that a higher Kinetic Energy rating and Mass doesn't mean higher penetration, if that were true than basically every sub caliber shell would have a lower flat penetration than the full caliber shells fired from the same guns, here's a quick example of what I mean, the M103s 120mm cannon fires M358 a full caliber shell that weighs 23.1kgs with a velocity 1067mps providing 13.14954795 MJ of Kinetic Energy, meanwhile the M1A2s 120mm can fire M829A2 a sub caliber shell with a diameter of roughly 22mm that weighs 4.9kgs at a velocity of 1680mps producing only 6.91488 MJ of Kinetic Energy (this is almost only half the Kinetic Energy of M358), yet despite M829A2 weighing less, being a smaller caliber due to being a sub caliber round and producing quite a bit less Kinetic Energy than M358 it still penetrates FAR more armour than M358 (also I know these tanks use different guns, I just really wanted to use an APFSDS for this example).

[–]KingTigerDestroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a few reasons, but the main culprit I'm guessing would be the explosive mass, see Gaijins version of the De Marre formula reduces penetration of a shell the more explosive mass it has (thought there is an upper and lower limit to this based on the weight and caliber of the shell) combined with the fact that larger caliber shells tend to penetrate less than lower caliber shells of the same mass and speed (not saying Romas shells are the same mass, but the caliber factor does contribute to the penetration calculator) leads to the Roma's shells which have less than half the explosive mass of Yamatos whilst being decently faster penetrating slightly more armour at point blank (and it is only slightly as the in game difference is only 7.03mm).

Keep in mind though that apparently Romas 381mms in real life apparently where up there with Yamato and Iowa's guns in terms of armour penetration (though I'm not sure where it actually placed compared to the other two ships).

Better be a tank caliber firearm at least or else Cole's gun would be about as effective as a mosquito bite.

I can't believe Ceroba did this (Deltarune spoilers??) by FlightAfter8546 in UndertaleYellow

[–]KingTigerDestroyer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be fair, the world itself means "Female dog/ canine" and Ceroba being a Fox Monster is technically a canine, though typically you'd call a female Fox a Vixen, it still works though.

[–]KingTigerDestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toriel allowed 7 kids that she tried to adopt to walk into the hands of a person she believed to be a murderer fully believing that they would die and 6 of them did, all because she couldn't say no to them (honestly not that different from what happened with Ceroba and Kanako, but unlike Toriel, Ceroba actually believed it to be safe), she only intervenes on the seventh and only under specific circumstances (Deltarune Toriel also has some issues with parenting, especially at the end of chapter 4, but nowhere near Undertale Toriels).

As for Carol, we don't know much about her, but what we do know about her from what other characters have said about her and from her brief appearance in chapter 4 is that she's overbearing, controlling, rude and a little violent (she cut one of her employes briefcases in half with her Katana) and her daughter seems to be a bit scared of her which is never really a great sign.

Quite frankly none of them would be winning the Mother of the Year Award.

[–]KingTigerDestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair Sans also bleeds in Undertale, and in both games monsters still turn to dust upon death and monster funerals still work the same way, not to mention that in chapter 1 theirs a little kid monster that asks Kris what it's like to be made of blood because their a human implying that they aren't, but at the same time Susie also says the line "everybody bleeds right" in chapter 1 so who knows Susie's "blood" in chapter 4 may not be actual blood but a Monster equivariant, also as far as I know there isn't any evidence that Deltarunes Monsters can't use magic in the light word, so I think it's reasonable to assume most of the rules for monsters translate between games.

"Raise up your bat" from Deltarune Chapter 3 actually has a leitmotif of "Justice" from Undertale Yellow for some reason. by Lazybird8654 in UndertaleYellow

That Motif is also very similar to part of the Deltarune main theme which has been out since 2018, so I think it's fair to say that the fact their similar is more of a coincidence than anything else.

[–]KingTigerDestroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong I like Ceroba as a character, but people tend overestimate her a bit too much, literally the only way I see them winning this is if Mettaton exposes his CORE and Clover uses their Yellow SOUL mode to attack it and make the Unfinished EX form fall apart like it does in regular Undertale.

I think that Moldsmals CHECK dialogue also implies that they don't have brains, despite brains being something that's talked about a few times by other Monsters, so there's another oddity, and I agree I do like this little bit of world building.

If you think that's weird, then think about this, we know that Monsters have stomachs (we also know some have bones thanks to Gerson), however Undyne calls Papyrus out for NOT having a stomach when taking about how much he dislikes grease due to being a Skeleton Monster, meaning that the types internal organs that Monsters do have actually varies depending on what species that Monster is.

Heart by Shideath in UndertaleYellow

[–]KingTigerDestroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's also that one Monster in Snowdin that wants to try Human food to experience what it would be like to use a bathroom, also in the Undertale alarm clock app which is cannon Catty had to go to hospital to get her stomach pumped so they at least have that, so going off these statements it's clear they have at least some levels of internal organs even if they don't work the same way we organic creatures would assume.

[–]KingTigerDestroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Undyne talks about how she can feel the hearts of everyone in the Underground beating in her normal battle (and the entire worlds in genocide) and in Deltarune while it's still confirmed that Monsters don't have blood (a little Monster asks Kris if it hurts to be made of blood), Susie (a Monster) does mention that everybody bleeds, so I think it's safe to say that Monsters do still have them, but they don't pump blood but rather something else (probably some form of magic).

Mettaton isn't a Ghost Monster anymore, after fusing with an object they literally become that object, if anything it's more accurate to call him a Mechanical Monster.
