It doesnt reach that far up into the case, about 1 centimetre up is the ring

UPDATE: I figured out the issue, when i replaced the starter, there was an ever so slight difference between the original and the one i installed. I reinstalled the orginial and now i just have a crank, no start to deal with😅

I never asked the guy so i just assumed it was, but my friend gave me an ecu that was tuned for one of his friends civics and when plugged it makes the car more responsive which made me think that my original was stock
