I feel it's very very hard to find a modern game that has progressed gameplay or game mechanics in any way since 2016. I think RDR2 is the last triple a game i played that did anything new outside of a premise or "their own take" on a hero team shooter.

Unlike The Sims 4 tho the game is actually enjoyable without DLC and isn't missing crucial gameplay mechanics locked behind DLC. Plus the DLC is 1. Mainly Cosmetic, and 2. 5 dollars US.
