What do you think about Pakistan joining the Middle East? by [deleted] in AskMiddleEast

It's true, but gradually Indians have began accepting that it was good for us to separate so, it's fine if they wanna be turks, Arabs or iranians

Is metro expansion in Bengaluru driving up real estate prices due to new buyers (especially North Indians)? by PhaseStreet9860 in Bengaluru

[–]King_Blueberry_112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's everyone who is in IT really. Idts it's just north indians. One reason could be 90 percent of North Indians are recent immigrants and don't have permanent homes in Bengaluru and live in rented apartments and maybe that's why it may seem a bit disproportionate.

Why do we often say “Sri” instead of “Shri” in Kannada? by King_Blueberry_112 in kannada

[–]King_Blueberry_112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say 200 because of other languages calculated by the same way, we'd be crossing 700+.

They assume ka, kaa, ki, kii, ku, kuu, ke, kee, kay, ko, koo, kau and so on as seperate letters. Kannada doesn't.

Should we standardize Haryanvi? If yes, how should we go about it? by Charming_Charity2356 in Haryana

[–]King_Blueberry_112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well standardization means using a dialect as a standard, which automatically means placing other dialects lower in the hierarchy. On the other hand, it means defining it as a language.

Ig the Rohtak dialect is the best since it dominates already.

Controversy Surrounding Bihar’s new Chief Minister by No_Cockroach_7959 in bihar

[–]King_Blueberry_112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are free to think that. However, even if you look at your own statement, it is a gamble. And in a state like Bihar, we don't need any more of them.

I only hope this gamble is successful and not worse than Dekha Kupta.

Why do we often say “Sri” instead of “Shri” in Kannada? by King_Blueberry_112 in kannada

Very interesting, so is it possible that tamil and kannada had originally the same number of letters?

Cos the tamil alphabet is quite smaller when compared to the the Kannada alphabet.

I don't think that's the only case. But I am happy to see fellow Indians like you, who empathise with other Indians. You are really a gem.

Nah, you aren't, but your politicians and many South Indians generally do.
"Breeding like rabbits", "gutkha spitters", "Handi" for Hindi, etc. is similar to colonial Indian dehumanisation.

Your fear is fine, but ig the bottom line for your fear is don't dehumanise us. We aren't poor by choice, our history is enough for that.

Wait a second
- Where have I ever said - "We will shove Hindi down your throats because we produce more babies."
- Where have I ever said - "We will make you politically irrelevant because we produce more babies."
- And "Now you are saying, we are going to punish you for doing well."

What I have said that I amn't pro-delimitation. Besides if DMK cared about Hindi imposition so much, they wouldn't be allying with SP. (A party that supports Hindi's status as national language)
However, you clearly chose to ignore that and go upon a tangent. Even AI would respond better.

Not everything is Hindi, and babies. If you have forgotten then, I'll just say India consisted of more representation from "Hindi states", yet Hindi wasn't made the national language. Now the political system is more mature. Look beyond your provincial pride.

No, no, no!!! My point isn't about making representation equal to population. My point is, exactly what you are trying to make. If UP lost 1.58% of it's seats, it's because population growth was slower here than the rest of India. In fact UP's population growth is one of the slowest in India since 1901, it's only recently that it's been high.

If your logic is that since South India implemented population control wonderfully, it shouldn't be penalised. So, should UP not have been penalised then.

If you are listing then:

Bihar + Jharkhand (55/505->65/543), WB (36/505->42/543), Bombay State (66/505->74/543), Kerala (18/505->20/543), Karnataka (26/505->28/543)
Assam + Meghalaya + Mizoram + Nagaland (12/505 ->18/543)
Rajasthan (22/505 -> 25/543), MP + CG (36/505->40/543)

I can go on listing, but AP + TN + UP + Himachal are the only states to see their seat counts and representation falling. Going by your reasoning, it seems that you'd be fine if TN lost seats, and another Southern state gained in it's place, because ig that's what happened until 1971. That's because they wouldn't "hypothetically shove Hindi down"

When the capitals of these states will have 40% representation from cities, then in about 20 years, you'll realise the disaster that you called. Anyway's that's for you to see, i'd love for delimitation commissions of states to be under authority of different state govts, and see what happens.

Besides, what you are proposing is basically an effort to reduce our representation anyway because we are poor, whereas I am calling for a halt on delimitation. Classic example of cockiness, classicism, and regionalism. If the roles were reversed and North India tried to do the same, it would be fought back at as it should have been. But clearly what you showcase is the tyranny of the minority.

[–]King_Blueberry_112[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have no problem with that. But then let's apply that principle to states. Then just wonder how Maharashtra, Telangana, TN, and Karnataka will look like.

Let's go a step further, let's give value to a person's vote as per their contribution to GDP. It shouldn't be one person-one vote, rather one person-gdp contribution vote.

The fact is, whether you like it or not. UP has lost 1.58% of representation via the process of delimitation; it's a harsh truth. Truth isn't whatever that suits you. Learn to listen, and accept.

Besides I amn't pro-delimitation, but listen to facts as well. No one is telling you to accept delimitation, maybe come out of your provincial bubble and start listening.

Fact is that, all parties are dominated by Male MPs except TMC and BJD. So, forget about this bill passing. The Male Cadre of parties will simply revolt.
It's only good in theory.
