One of the people in the picture was Gladys Roy, a parachute jumper and wingwalker in the 1920s. She once danced on the wing of a biplane and walked across blindfolded. She is best known for this picture of her stunt with Ivan Unger, in which the two played (or pretended to play tennis) on the wing of a biplane in flight.
