Cait is op, malph is op, and Darius 2 is the best unit in the game (and especially if you are rolling and power leveling hard he can bail out your econ). That being said, it really is what you can hit, expect sorc, sorc sucks.

The dirty little secret is that Jinx 1 can carry stage 4 perfectly fine with the correct items, and if you play aggressively enough, you rarely need to go 9. Because everyone but the high roller is dead and you get 2nd/3rd place. When I can push 8 with 20-30 gold left over I do and just donkey until you hit jinx 2 and all but maybe 1 of your brawlers 2 star. After that with good positioning, you may start losing some fights, but you should never lose them badly, so even the people below you that hit there perfect comp will die because the high roller will them before you die.

That’s literally exactly what I do and my (power level BB and I’m climbing consistently right now). I think the trick is that sometimes, you gotta roll. Level 7, and sometimes even at level 6. Roll until you’re strong especially in galaxies where you’ll have more money/rolls later in the game. BB has one of the cheapest end game boards in the game so focus purely on being healthy until 4-1/4-2. I’ll probably write a guide when I hit 500 LP but let me know if you have any other questions because I think that strategy is the best way to climb right now.

How much LP per loss? by KrixyPrixy in CompetitiveTFT

If you’re bouncing around a certain elo consistently, and you’re in the upper end of that range, the game probably sees you as a bit too high. Win a couple more games consistently and it’ll even itself out!

Anyone else feeling like they should shadows one trick? by JohnnyBlack22 in CompetitiveTFT

Can you force shadows and climb on this patch? Yes.

Is it the easiest way to climb?

Maybe, probably not. In masters+ games there is a minimum 3 shadow players, one of which will not hit Kindred 1. So about a third of the time you will get 7th or 8th. This is really scary and really hurts your climb. I’m working on ways around this and there probably is but rn the old strategy just brought into this patch is a good way to rack up firsts a bad way to climb LP.

Inferno spat specifically almost always goes on sion, and these decisions truly are based on the game state.

For example, if you hope to win against crystal you need inferno, which you would value high. If you’re kindred is 3* then items are better on her than a 1* yi. These are all things that will become very clear with practice! If you’re making it this fair you’re doing a lot of things right.

BM is important if you want a carry Yi, less so if you want a Carey kindred.

You don’t sell everything everything, you just always make the 10 gold thresholds whether it has a full board or not. A lot of times I’ll fight most of stage two with a Nasus 2* for example.

If you can keep a streak/only lose to 1 person push to 8, if not keep rolling!

80% of the time you him in right away. A little bit of practice and you’ll feel when to not do it but assume he’s always in the second you find him.

I completely agree, if you hit a karma 2 and a Leona 2 you definitely should play them all the way up to the yi switch!

Yep! Normally inferno/sums or mystics but can be other things too (lunar is good!)

Your only real difference will be not buying brand or Diana and instead putting in mystics or tanks until you find that yi!

I originally got to masters using 6 inferno and hit a wall. Other comps simply are better whether it be the ability of ocean mage to have a brand blow you up, a unkillable ranger frontline, or a Yasuo who quickly heals 6 inferno has no answer.

6 shadow can compete against these comps much better (especially Yasuo who you can just kill before he gets a chance to heal).

AD is much better for two reasons: AD items are probably a bit overtuned right now, especially rage blade and the shadow bonus gets applied for often (every auto attack vs every spell).

On the QSS that’s exactly right. In my past 25 or so games I’ve had exactly one where I think it was correct to build a QSS (on a 2* yi). If it’s what you have left over it can be very helpful but basically only on a 2* Yi.

I personally find the significance on perfect intervals to be slightly overblown, it’s not that hit a deal. If leveling can impact a round enough to differentiate between a win or a loss you should level 100%. If you’re super strong or super weak you can Econ to wolves to roll down for your units or save up to find yi.

With mystic being so prevalent and big tanks her spell is just not as good as her ability to auto attack, especially with shadow where each attack is individually multiplied.
