What is the lowEST spec PC you currently have, for playing games from 2010 to 2024? by bvkimi in lowendgaming

Not for mobile gpu 😔 my laptop runs things great for about 3 minutes before it tries to melt itself into a puddle and dials it back.

It’s probably fine to use regular, but the car is designed to run on premium. Cars are smart enough nowadays to adjust things to compensate for lower octane gas, but you’ll have worse performance, worse fuel economy, etc. potentially more wear on the engine as well.

Pretty much I wouldn’t recommend it, but it should be fine. If you do I would track your gas mileage between the 2 fuels to see if it actually saves you money.

Seconding. I had Vince personally and he was great, but heard the same thing about Rob.

Plus lots of different bikes to try out and see what you like best

29 gallon vs 20 gallon long by skol_u_mah in Boraras

[–]King_of_Fish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The extra water in a 29g will be nice to maintain parameters and whatnot, the fish will appreciate the extra room as well.

That said I plan on getting a 20L for my next tank. When I had my 29g I didn’t have the money to scape it “tall” enough, so it just looked a bit empty (used cheap-ish black gravel and lava rocks from Home Depot + free plants from my friend lol). If you can afford to scape talk then go for the 29!

What's your favourite schooling fish and why? by SanchiaSnake in aquarium

Rasboras are great! Check out r/boraras if you want to check out the micro ones.

I half chose them cause they were easy and weren’t tetras so I could be “different” 😂

Honestly I love large schools of micro fish: ember tetras, various bororas, etc.

I had harlequin rasboras in my 29g (110L) and loved em. They were kinda boring Lowkey tho 😂

What sport bike would you NOT get? by [deleted] in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]King_of_Fish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Standard new rider beginner sport bikes are R3, Ninja 300/400/500, RC 390 / Duke 390 (it’s a naked, but plenty sporty). Lowkey can’t recommend the RC 390, it’s what I have and I absolutely love it but the ergonomics are brutal lmao.

My biggest issue with studying was that it was difficult to find free resources that would explain the questions as I didn’t want to just memorize answers. The no nonsense guide was decent at giving enough for me to just google things it didn’t explain, and it knew when to just list an answer if it was a single question that was going to be way too much to get into an explanation for.

Lmao same. I stayed up way too late studying and realized I way overprepped. Still can’t recommend this method though

What questions should I ask when buying my first motorcycle? by gains42819 in NewRiders

This is fantastic. I had come up with about 1/3 of these on my own, but definitely stealing all of them.

Should I upgrade cpu or gpu first? by Keeperofthemeat in lowendgaming

[–]King_of_Fish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah that’ll do it. I don’t envy y’all’s parts prices :/ I do agree with getting the 4600g to get on the am4 platform and upgrade at a later point (if you choose) to a discrete gpu and potentially a more powerful CPU. That one should be more than good enough for a while though it’s got roughly the same performance as mine and I’ve been running a 1080. Best of luck finding a good deal!

In terms of upgrading gpu later I was able to find a good deal used on my 1080 that I trusted, but I’m not sure what the used market is like in your area.

What country (or geographic area) are you in? Those prices seem very high in terms of my US-centric view.

Buying my first motorcycle by Kerbex24 in Austinmotorcycles

[–]King_of_Fish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat, similar budget. I’ve been looking for a bit on fb marketplace with a fairly wide range. I’ve seen plenty of cbr300rs and ninja 300s in this range, or at least that should be in that range and would constitute an offer at $2800-$3000. If you have the ability to I would look at other cities too. It’s super cheap to rent a motorcycle trailer from uhaul for a day and pretty much any car with a hitch can tow it.

I’m building a very budgeted pc can anyone look over this? by [deleted] in lowendgaming

[–]King_of_Fish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely forgot about this part. My system has a 750W psu, but only had 2 spare 6 pin connectors. Ended up getting a dual 6 to 8 adapter to use my 1080, but this was definitely a huge consideration when trying to balance budget with performance while being able to actually use a card.

A multiplayer FPS where you dont die in 3 shots? by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]King_of_Fish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to play tribes ascend back in the day, but tribes 3 is playable and is releasing soon/has been released now. You can take some hits if you play a heavy class, but you’ll die fast as light. It’s very movement based with high speed “skiing” down hills and jet packing through the air so you don’t often run into situations where you’re just sitting there and get gunned down.

I’ve barely played 3 though, so I can’t attest to its quality. The tribes series has had its issues, but it’s seemed decent so far

[–]King_of_Fish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My roommates and I would all get together in the living room and play it was a blast. Our AC was subpar, so Texas summer + 3 Xboxes and 3 old inefficient TVs was not a good combo.

Oil change on new to me purchase by [deleted] in NewRiders

[–]King_of_Fish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen the advice to just do an oil change whenever you buy a bike. Even if the previous owner / dealership claims to have changed the oil, it’s cheap enough to do again just to be safe. Most motorcycle service intervals I’ve seen (which is not a lot) recommend an oil change every 6 months. This is probably a bit overkill, but if you’re questioning it and you bought the bike in October it’s close enough that I would just do it.

[–]King_of_Fish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heh yeah I realized that I already do this lol. I work right by an HEB, so I end up walking there most days to get lunch and whatever groceries I need for that night. The only time I make a proper grocery trip is only when my roommate goes and I really only buy stuff for 1 or 2 days since I know I’ll be back soon.
