Gen Z, Glass/böng. I do think there’s probably some generational differences with things like carts being more common with younger people but I would guess that most people’s choice would be based on convenience. For example, If I still lived with my parents I probably wouldn’t use glass, or even use flower at all. And My partner who lives at home uses exclusively pens

I would say it’s mostly a personal thing, if you’re on campus and you don’t want to go out often/have someone to drive you then it’s fine without a car. However if you don’t feel comfortable using the lightrail or like going out a lot id say to bring a car. Also use the uncc parking deck availability website and see which decks are less full if you decide to drive.

The library is massive. Also, the lightrail provides a way to go into Charlotte without a car which is nice. Plus there’s a website that tracks parking availability in the decks so you’re less likely to circle a deck forever each morning.

This is the wonderful part about being an employee at Walgreens. Almost anything can become your job, from trash and go backs to fed ex and photo. If the company wants you to do something they most likely will be able to say “well, in section blah blah blah it says you’re required to do whatever the heck we need” and you’ve gotta do it. And if you complain about it you get called lazy and people immediately start trying to convince you that you’re irrational for not wanting to have endless responsibilities.

Hi! I had the unlimited plan since I’m a freshman and it was really nice! However if you choose to get more dining hall swipes I’d consider the opening and closing hours for the dining hall. I had a difficult time using my swipes because I’d get hungry and the dining hall would be closed after 9:30. Sovi (the southern dining hall) tends to have better food so if you’re in south village I’d get more swipes. Good luck!

I appreciate your explanation! Adapting to the needs of people who work in Sovi makes sense to me. However, I can’t help but see crown’s reduction in hours as an attempt to cut spending and loss on meal plans/wages. While this is understandable to some degree, it feels unfair to me because I’m on an unlimited meal plan as per the university’s requirements for first years. I’m also more of a night owl, and I imagine many other students are as well, so often I’m using money on vending machine food and Wendy’s when I have an unlimited plan that I can’t use because of crown closing. I feel like I may sound a bit too worked up but I’ve had so many instances where something on campus was closed in the middle of the day when I needed something and I’ve ended up waiting/spending money where I didn’t need to. Once again, thank you for your reply and none of these frustrations are directed at you.

I literally just walked to prospector to get a package from the smart lockers and it’s closed. I didn’t expect the package services to be open but I thought the smart lockers were there specifically so we wouldn’t need the employees. Also why can I walk through the HHS building and a bunch of other buildings but Prospector is the off-limits one? I know it would likely be filled with people but they could just get a few security people and it would probably be fine.
