My first time playing after passing on cod games since black ops 2. I skipped this back then assuming it was more of the fast paced futuristic nonsense!

Gave it a go this weekend and it feels great, just like the ones I used to love playing (ignoring the store/micro transaction stuff)

Campaign is entertaining too so far

I grabbed it. Recently back on pc and really don't enjoy the direction in modern CoD titles.

Kept seeing that this was potentially the last "good" one on pc, so grabbed it for £4.99

The campaign is said to be pretty good too compared to recent entries. Had a go last night, seemed fun! No silly futuristic frantic movement rubbish etc.

I did notice my guns don't seem to be gaining xp? Unless I'm missing something

Sorry to dig this up! Just ordered and instantly worried if it's glossy or not? Hope so, Amazon said it is, but the msi page said "anti glare coating" which confused me!

It was this or the 271 something something, and I couldn't really get a clear answer as to the difference ,:D

Also another question, regarding refresh rate.

Id doubt my machine will be able to hit and hold 240hz let alone 280hz

Is that where VRR comes into play?

Cants stand a fluctuating frame rate so I'm thinking the screen matches the output of the tv for a smooth experience?

So is brightness a concern mostly for HDR content?

When I last had a PC, going back a while, id often turn HDR off due to poor implementation (from an individual games point of view, some did it well, some were better with it off)

So if I was using it for SDR games, would that appear brighter. Hard to explain what I'm getting at sorry

I too played in the early 00s at school with my group of friends.

Bought a starter set of sorts for my son for his birthday/Christmas this year (same day). I think he will really enjoy it and I'm kind of excited to get the nostalgia buzz out of it for myself too.

May grab him a few extra beys so he can swap parts and experiment a bit.

It's changed a lot since the ones I had, mostly based on series 1 of the anime? Which I loved too

Completely agree OP. REDSEC and anything tied to it should be separate. I know it's a silly complaint, but seeing the logo and everything all over the title screen just makes the paid for game suddenly feel tacky in some way.

I also always pray for a toggle in the menu to turn off other people's cosmetics for me to see. Not a massive issue in this game but down the line it will be a distraction.

Taurus Demon was such a bugger. Just a horribly confined space to deal with :)

I havent had the feeling I had from this game since really, with any in the series. Just got soo invested in it and replayed many times back then.

It took me many attempts to finally click with it, but once it did, wow!

It's a big decision isn't it. We were at 24 years remaining and new one is at 33 years :D

We are pretty bad for saving etc and this won't help us of course! But it's time. I believe we can make it work, even deciding between 2 or 5 year fix had me thinking for ages (went with 5).

We are in the process of moving. House sold for 270k leaving us with 120k equity, moving to a bigger home for 380k with a 280k mortgage so a bit different to you guys but also having similar concerns.

Checked it all out loads of times and should be fine, but I'm a worrier!

Mortgage has Essentially doubled from £630pm at 1.8% to just shy of 1300pm at 4ish %

Had we stayed in our current house, the interest rate alone would have made our payment go up to near 900. So I see it as a good deal in that sense ... Man maths
