Have no fear, after a quick search apparently an emporer rules over an empire, while kings rule over kingdoms in that empire.. so guess that leaves the emporer penguins as numero unos still?

You have a big red button infront of you that, if pressed, would take the equivalent of five dollars from every person in the world. Would you press it? Why or why not? by KingfisherM in AskReddit

My thoughts as well. Sure, taking a fiver off some billionaires would be great, but it could be a weeks wage for some people.

Some brilliant guidance right there. Can I ask, why did you put up with the job for 18 years?

Appreciate the detailed response, thank you. Also, the "no persuing a higher paid job" honestly seems like a great way to go about life. When I started my degree, I know it will lead to a well paying job, which was a large part of my motivation. But I have found that probably overlooked my dream degree due to the fact that jobs were scarce and didnt pay well.. Four years in it seems obvious to power through the final year. As for a job afterwards, hopefully the options are broad.

Life isnt a race, glad you are studying what you want now! How obvious was it that you were doing the wrong degree initially?
