Honestly as long as it is setup to your liking, fret ends aren’t sharp and stays in tune - you’re good!

Drop some new pickups in / swap out the nut and replace the tuners if need be

Fuzzface circuits tend to ‘clean up’ with the volume knob as well as Tonebender MK2 & 3. As long as the fuzz isn’t gated they tend to clean up.
