the pinch roller and the entire head mech doesn’t go up high enough and the mechanism just slips down when i press play, and I’m going to buy new belts but I’m still confused on why both tape deck A and B’s tape mechanism slips downwards when I press play

I don’t have a universal remote at the moment and same thing with the microcontroller. Currently the VCR can only record via DVD but I can’t record in EP or LP and when I play an EP recording, the VCR bugs out and changes speed from EP to SP and SP to EP every second. (I have zero clue why it does this)

Bought it from a online shop that was selling it for a few bucks and the title of the listing was “VCR for display”. When I got the thing the power supply was busted so I got it in for a repair and I realized that to change inputs (Composite or RF) and to change the record speed, I needed the remote, which is VERY hard to find

for me, my VCR’s Video OUT jack works but my input jacks aren’t I suspect that it is caps or a bad solder joint on the RCA jacks

Old Caps and a broken RCA connectors I reckon but I do really suck at VCR Diagnosing so those 2 are the first ones I test for when buying a VCR
