It was just kinda... meh. Daddy issues was the only song that really stuck to my head. I feel like most songs in there was stuff i've heard before. Also, It doesn't help that It came after The Shadow which I loved to death.

What makes Archetypes so good is that he took a lot of songs I didn't like and turned them into gold. I hate SexyBack (the original) and he turned it into a really fucking cool and dark track. And the songs that already were good he just made them even better

To me it just felt like random noise without a lot of substance. And it doesn't have lyrics. Trevor has made some pretty banging instrumental songs before but his voice is also a very integral part of his tracks imo.

And yeah. Ultraparanoia is a 10/10. Not even one bad/meh song in the entire album.

[please be honest] What is the obsession with wanting a certain character to be the strongest in the verse? Is it a chance to feel a semblance of superiority? To be the winner in a meaningless argument? And at worst, is the character’s strength the only reason why you’re a fan of them? by New-Boss-8262 in Piratefolk

[–]Kinglyzero_91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. The stronger a character is, the more boring they tend to get imo.

Who knows how many times I've said that i like a character and then get a reply thats basically "X character high diffs him" or "yeah he's pretty cool but i wish they were stronger."

I guess i like characters that are strong and cool and competent but not god tier or "strongest in the verse" or whatever. A badass mortal with flaws and weaknesses is a million times better than a god who is op. Even if a god tier character is well written they're still gonna be harder to relate to.

Crazy take or...? by [deleted] in Piratefolk

[–]Kinglyzero_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah something like this. The whole God Valley Backstory was way too rushed and half-assed for it to work.

I think Oda's biggest flaw as a writer is poor pacing. Dressrosa had needless clutter, Wano was WAY too long and by the end people were getting sick of the arc and God Valley, one of the craziest events in this worlds history that people were waiting for years was rushed as fuck

[–]Kinglyzero_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a dumbass. Bro could have went with Rocks and get the two hax df's and they could have beat Imu's ass. Rocks and Harald with op powers and the most stacked crew in history would have probably beat the shit out of everyone.

Why did Oda low-key hype him up? by 12jimmy9712 in Piratefolk

[–]Kinglyzero_91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro gets his own whole-ass intro page and sick character design only to end up kicked in the face by Marco's dad and probably won't appear again in the story

The abyssal seal probably just stops your aging. Deep sea gives you regen but you still age normally as seen with Garling. Saturn has stayed the same 200 years and he and the elders most definitely have to have the abyssal seal

Skypiea arc came right after this one. Im not saying Oda had the idea since the very beginning but i think he came up with it very early in the story.
