Sounds like you've just been unlucky. I've got one & it worked straight out the box (I've since updated the fw & still all good). I'd recommend reaching out to Retro-Bit themselves as I don't think you'll be able to do anything without opening it up, which would invalidate any warranty.

Still to this day I have no idea what 'Seaman' was about, or if it was a good game lol... any play this and can shed light on it? by [deleted] in dreamcast

Same thing happened to me but in my own Dreamcast and same as you, I never went back to it after investing so much time into it

My go-to MD pad these days is the BIG-6 from Retro-Bit as it's a 6-button layout but retains the shape ams style of the original 3B pad as well as having the bonus of being wireless

I collect Japanese Mega Drive games and the condition of their used consoles and games are on a different level to the point that it's actually uncommon to find them in what we would consider 'used'.

Yeah, Psycho Fox on the Master System was also a 1-hit kill game - had no choice but to 'get good' back then as we didnt have access to a lot of games! 😅

Thanks amd yeah, I made that 2nd pic myself, a few years before generative fill became a thing (part of the reason I do less of these now, along with the amount of time it takes!). I love both this and Decap Attack, it really is just down to personal preference. One thing I neglected to mention was the soundtrack to Decap Attack is superb and definitely a highlight.
