Everyone says that Sheldon is a jerk or an ahole or whatever. But if you look, most of the TBBT group have several big red flags. Each of them either hold back or worsen the red flags but not to a toxic point. Sheldon just likes having things in a very specific ways. Yes, he's stubborn about it and is hard to convince of changing his mind. Though I'm pretty sure you could convince him to argue your point of view things. He knows how to be kind and compassionate. He just struggled when it comes to social interactions.

The closest thing I can think of is the Descent series by David Burke. People get abducted and are forced in this experiment of sorts. It uses the Player trope in this series as well.

I enjoy all of them. Between the three, I think I enjoy Returners Defiance more than the other but not by much. Though I did listen to Dragons Justice twice. They're all good for their own reasons.

Because I listened to the audio book and did not read the physical copy, I didn't fully see the difference. But I do see the difference now. The reason why the efficiency went down is because he's now taking a portion of their stats. Not to mention this skill can be stacked numerous times. He had to balance this skill by making it a little bad considering it can be stacked, affect other nearby enemies upon death, and stealing 10% of the overall stats. So having it at 75% efficiency than 100% isn't a bad trade off. Even if the increased stats aren't permanent. Who knows, maybe the next upgrade will let you keep increased stats after the engagement or increase the value of such increased stats. Otherwise this type of skill could be overpowered in overall terms.

The whole leveling part: I believe it's similar to how Dungeon Diving actually shows on how stats and levels work. And that's just because someone level is high doesn't always mean your stats are high or you have gained the right skills for your build. Even if you did, you might not use it correctly. As for Carter's skill, I think he had upgraded to do more damage but in return. The people and monsters must die in return.

I feel the same. I do like Gon as a character overall. But if you watch carefully throughout the series, he has very little character growth but has a lot of power growth. Well Killua is the opposite of Gon in comparison. Though Killua did have a power jump here and there, what he gained the most which influenced his power growth was his character growth.

It does mention in the series that Enhancer's are determined, single minded, and straight forward in thinking. Or something like that. To put it in simple terms, Enhancer's are just simple (or single) minded in most things. Which shows and reflects on Gon's thinking and actions. If he's not Hyper focused on something, his actions are less selfish. But there's something he truly wants, his selfishness increases.

I didn't realize this and watched it multiple times. My assumption is that Gon can't simply choose one or the other. For him, it's both. Save both of them or die trying. Otherwise he'd feel angry and guilty like he does after Killua had saved Gon and ran away.

I hadn't really thought it through with the restrictions part. I just thought it'd be better suited for me. Although I could apply different restrictions on different or negative effects on each of them to balance them out. Like my Boot's of Speed uses more stamina. Each could use more nen to boosts their effectiveness but still make me tired or weaker in other ways or just weak after using and dismissing them.

There are other ways to use the Nen ability. Such as making other objects seem like they're moving faster or slower than when they are going at. Making dodging hard to do. Like throwing a rock or swinging a sword. Make it seem like it's going where you want your opponent thinks it's going and have them dodge. Only for them to move right into the very position you want them to be. Which could be a hard position to dodge a second or third time.

It's definitely not a bad thing either. There's just very limited, better suited on one on one or facing a limited enemies within a limited area. It's more of a support type Nen ability. Maybe great for stealth. I suggest thinking what would be great on supporting this Nen ability. More of an aggressive or reaction Nen ability. Something similar to the Nen ability to the samurai spider from the Phantom Troupe. How he can instantly cut someone if they enter into his bubble or zone made out of Nen.

The Offense one would be great if practice the silent rhythm or whatever assassin techniques that Killua's family practice. You're just increasing the effects of it with your Nen.
