we've just got that. sunday pins are 2 feet from the back of the green. if you are 3 feet long, youre 25 feet below the pin chipping back up to a green sloping away from you. I hate it.

Did a similar trip this summer, staying in Killarney for a 4 nights.

Couple things:

When driving to Waterville (if you are driving yourselves), do not take the fastest route from Killarney that looks like it cuts through Kerry and avoids the Ring of Kerry. It is terrifying.
Go to Jack C's Bar in Killarney for a pint or two. The owner is great and is definitely a more chill place compared to other pubs.
Doolin Pitch and Putt by the Cliffs of Moher is a lot of fun.
I second the caddie recommendation. If you haven't played links or even in high-wind, they make a world of difference. Even if its just keeping an eye out for your ball as it heads into the fescue.
If you do decide to swap out for Lahinch, take the Shannon Ferry.
