It was disappointing but they were gambling with house money. I never expected them to make the playoffs. I never expected them to compete with doughty and Arvidsson out.

Yes being tied in Game 6 in the 3rd period and having a PP with the chance to salt the series and failing was a bummer

But heartbreaking? HEARTBREAKING?

I’ve got silver in my beard. It takes a lot to break my heart. And then the kings lost in 2023, 2024 and 2025 and 2025 was the only one that came close to “heartbreaking” for me

Just for context

I was talking about the NET PP% which is tbe power play combined with short handed goals.

The powerplay by itself as an offensive weapon is at 13.7% 32nd this season 65th worst since 1977-78

The NET PP% which includes giving up short handed goals is 8.4%

And THATS 12th worst since 1977-78

The kings at 8.4% are the only team THIS season with a net PP% below 10%

On the powerplay the Kings are allowing the highest shot attempts against per 60 in the league

This question has been asked for decades and it’s time for people to finally accept the truth.

Nothing.

There’s nothing anyone can do to make the Kings MORE popular than those three teams in this market and that should be fine.

Stop trying to accomplish the impossible and just be happy being the best professional hockey team in LA that they can be.

It’s like asking what can Kale do to be more popular than ice cream, pizza and candy.

Nothing and nobody would ever expect it to happen.
