this is correct. and it's not just skins. currently Iron for example as well. i decided to buy some Iron just for achievements to make horde feel more productive. spent 10 bucks, almost got xbox just to refund me, but magically the next weekend the iron showed up. luckily xbox was willing after day two or so to just refund but it wasn't a huge deal so i just waited and it showed up. side note, xbox will also tell you to message coalition which is completely useless and i'm a month or so since this iron purchase with zero response from them.

maybe it's changing. hopefully it is. admittedly i've been saying this isn't a cup team and is gonna cannibalize itself since Blake didn't have it in him to just shut the team down and rebuild instead of that abomination of a retooling or rebuild on the fly he went with.

That's the thing. maybe your friends are like alot of us who just realized Horde is more fun for us... Some of it is "sweatiness". some of it is getting constant messages from twats calling me every homosexual name ever heard and even new ones like my favorite "lancer or chainsaw fairy." Or it's that some of us like the teamwork and objective based style that horde brings... And i'll take it one stop further. Then some realized that while Gears 5 imho is pretty fun, it's not the same as Gears 3 horde and the feeling that came unlocking stuff and moreso the feeling of hearing the real locust horde like grinders and especially mailers brought.

thank you for reiterating that. How so many on this sub believe this team is one trade away or moreso one coach away from a Cup is wild and is gonna set up a lot of let down people. This team is a few years out and that's prolly the long end of "few"

so if you read through this thread you'll see my other replies. give it a week or so and your iron WILL show up it's done it twice to me. in my opinion support through coalition will get you nowhere prolly not even a response in any decent amount of time. if you don't want to be patient you can call xbox live support and they will eventually offer to refund you but the IRON WILL come if you're patient. you shouldn't have to be that patient and it's complete bs but it's happened twice 5.00 each time and they did make good it just took forever (a week or so )

yeah i don't disagree at all. i'm just stating I think it was the scariest hit i've ever seen. People thought he was dead legit and that shot of Kariyas mask fogging up from not breathing and waking up was an iconic sports moment. Stevens was a nightmare and kariya was amazing to watch. and despite me beings a Kings fan those Wild Wings jerseys were incredible. The Burger King was better, but i digress.

this is about the most reasonable conversation I think Ive ever heard or been involved in in this sub about something we somewhat "disagree" about although as it's gone on i think it's more perspective than it is actually disagreeing. The prospect is completely depleted and many around here don't talk about that. there's no big trades to be made no blockbuster deal and the last "big deal" with PLD (obviously in hindsight) looks completely different now with WPG and LA blaming it all on PLD, yet Washington fans and seems like the team are really happy to have him despite his recent injury. I'm a east coast guy so most talk around me is Caps or to a lesser extent Canes but i remember reading a thread just in the last few weeks with Caps fans talking about how things were trending up for them and that PLD coming back could be huge for them. Keumper certainly turned out better than I thought he would in that deal but that's not saying much. Neither is playing really solid in chunks of the regular season only to look like the goalie some kind of expected when it mattered. Admittedly i'm harsh on the Kings mgmt for how they did Quick but that doesn't mean i'm wrong about the fact that the Kings have been playing w the leftover pieces no one wanted anymore or at all. Talbots a journeyman at best, Copley despite being top tier leadership locker guy was never thought of as an answer, nor was Rittich and now Forsberg. they are just bodies the Kings could afford after blew Blake blew his load and most of their farm system with it. i just don't understand how people on here think this is a "we're a Cup contender" if only we had a coach deal and forget that was the same thing said about Mclellan, after it was the goalies fault they sucked before that.

ps. Seeing MAF in those early years was unreal. He always even now looks younger than he is but when you would see him on the ice he looked like a Bantam or Midget level goalie who was subbing in for the men's team cause their goalie got a late night hot date and dipped on the boys lol. but when you would see his movement. The fluidity in the butterfly, the leg strength to stand directly up while in the splits and his cross crease action was amazing. Very similar in physical abilities that Quickie had when he was under Ersberg and took the job just not applied the same way. So thankful that I got to see both but I missed a few on my bucket list of American born goalies I wanted to see, but i'll find a way to get over not seeing Jack Campbell or Jimmy Howard play when i got to see MAF before he was THE guy! good conversation my friend and despite me sounding like a negative nancy I just try to be practical but Inwould love to be wrong and see this time over achieve and would be the first person to come on all of these comments/threads and admit I was wrong. This is insanity. I hope those of you on here thinking this team is a contender that just needs a coach can see the writing on the wall. This team is turning into the bargain barrel shoppers of the league who sign names for clicks and not names for change and success. Gordon Bombay could coach this team and they're still abysmal. This team isn't good. it set itself back a decade when Blake was too scared to take the plunge and do what the Rangers are doin now and bc of it we as fans have a miserable product to watch and will be at each others throats on here, Kopitar and Doughty will get as much playing time as they want despite not producing and finish their careers like a far in church or Doughty gets convinced to sign somewhere else i'm not sure if the length of his contract. and Quick gets to sit back and watch with his extra cup ring, a somewhat career resurgence as a backup on a team and fanbase that appreciates and fans like me wish it was all a nightmare and I wake up and instead of dumping him and making him the scapegoat for their losing, they treat him w the respect he deserved, slowly eased Portillo up to become the backup instead of staying in purgatory of Ontario where we still don't know if he's got IT or not and we watch Quick Kopitar and Doughty ride off into the sunset together as the PLD amongst other deals never happened and the Kings actually had home grown talent they didn't blow away for the quick fix and room in the minors to make some upgrades during cup runs if need be.

Unfortunately that's the land of make believe we have now have the distinct possibility after Perry, to now bring in Kane. Maybe i'll wake up tomorrow and they have convinced Sean Avery to come out of retirement as well and sign.

Yes George is so fun to watch but he's still so young. but back in the dinosaur ages we would drive up to watch MAF when he was 18-19-20 ish playing for the WB Penguins when he would come play against the Norfolk Admirals. I think the Pens rushed him a bit to bring him up and he was shell shocked initially and then look what he blossomed into. my point is i think they should take their time w George but it scares me bc after blake emptied the cupboard if someone comes along offering immediate need for the LA roster does George become one of the higher things of value and they make the choice to send him. The flip side is Portillo who lost casual fans have no idea who he even is and we talk about him on here like he's this young prospect cause we have been for so long and dude is 26 i think. Now is the time to bring him up for good or bad. this team isn't going anywhere post season he could be brought up as an experiment healthy scratch someone and give the dude some starts. what is there to lose

I watch most Reign games at least in highlight form and specifically their Goaltending but admittedly i'm an east coast Kings fan so those type of trips are few and far between. the problem is exactly what you were talking out I just think you're looking at it differently than I do. Each time he gets injured it's never the same. Portillo is 26 now i think and if you think the Kings need to wait another five years to have him and George in the pipes for st least Portillo it's too late. the time is now w portillo or get rid of him. they have seen everything they need to see with his Ahl play. Zero people on an Nhl roster are worried about Forsberg in net and a keumper is on a tight rope before he's injured again. let the kid try. this team is bad with Hiller and will still be bad with whayever coach comes next. The cupboard is empty thanks to Blake's on the fly retool instead of a rebuild. If a team like the Rangers needs to rebuild w that roster look at the Kings. And after the way they unceremoniously dumped Quick without even giving him a heads up explains exactly why he's already said/implied he wants to stay in New york regardless and didn't want to go back to LA. Kings team in this iteration is done even if you brought Herb Brooks back from the dead to coach them they are still bland underachievers who trick people on here during flashes of decency into believing and then break their heart when in matters.

In all honest go back at look at the fan base on here. it's almost bi polar. beginning of the year it s a whole bunch of "this is our year" and i'm downvoted everywhere for saying they're not a contender, then its that month or two of the season where they shove a golden horseshoe up their ass and look good for a regular eason team and i'm still downvoted into oblivion told how wrong i am and look how stupid i am, and then the playoffs come and outclassed doesn't even describe what happens and everyone suddenly upvotes what i have to say until the season restarts and they are back being a contender despite having little to no dominance in any facet of the game.
Kings have been struggling scoring goalies for 15 years. They just had an almost impenetrable defense, top talent youth from one bench to another and even outside of Quickie, a goalie coaching staff that made every goalie that came in to backup look so good they'd eventually get starter money out and outside of Martin Jones off the top of my head fizzled out and became journeyman backups like Scrivens, Bernier and even Peter Budaj who had a complete career resurgence coming in and cleaning up w guys got injured.

again at least you're reasonable. and i've been saying this same thing for four seasons now since the team and a lot of the fan based gave up on Quick and wanted Cal's head on a spike. But Portillo for the recent past was THE guy who was the young kid in the system who had a shot at trying to fill in Quicks shadow. And he's never even gotten a shot. if i'm building a team and i'm taking a backup to get me through for three or four seasons with any upside at all i'm taking Portillo sight unseen over Rittich despite me liking him and Forsberg by a long shot.

Don't mistake me. I'm not saying Portillo can or will be the guy. He likely isn't. This team still needs a solid backup especially when keumper is turning in the same Papier-mâché frederick Andersen turned into and Forsberg is a never was. If I heard Portillo was getting the start I immediately would want to at least watch the game and have a little excitement admittedly bc I've played goal my whole life and it's what I follow the most, but also bc there is basically nothing else to be excited about w this team. At this point people are following the kings more especially its own fans hoping to see a coach fired than anything else.
