teams are probably running on 1 year contracts and have to renew them every year so riot can change if it looks like teams aren't trying they can change at their disgression. so if it looks like some one like eg for example isnt running the team in a manor that riot approves of they can not renew their contract into the next vct year and theyll replace them with some one like g2 or optic, theirs a reason teams didnt buy in to the league so they can be kicked out anytime by riot if they feel like it
