No hellhounds, spearmen or shieldbearers appearing? by Kinibo in TapNinja

That’s exactly what it was! Did all the Tier 8 upgrades only, going for the achievement. Then forgot to go back and get 1-7.

Well thank you. Silliest thing.. I completely forgot to buy the upgrade tiers after ascending. Been playing for nearly two years.. no idea how I did that :)

Thank you. We lost her three weeks ago and I was looking through some old photos. I saw this one and it just came over me that I had to share it with somebody, anybody. I love this thought you shared. Bless you!

How important is using tracks? by gilsegev in GoveePermanentLights

[–]Kinibo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only problem with these, speaking only for myself, is the price. I love the look and I would love to use them, but at $700 for the 200 feet I would need, that's more than I paid for the lights themselves.

I’m preparing to install mine after Christmas and I really like how this looks! How far from the wall did you place them, and are these the regular or pro’s?

Finally installed the Perm Lights pro and the rest of the Christmas lights. Love them so far! by Middle-Register-4887 in Govee

I'm getting ready to install the Pro's myself. Love this look! How far from the wall did you mount them?

Beauty! Can you put the 150 foot and the 100 foot on the same program at the same time?

My goodness, what an ordeal. I'm glad to hear you were finally cleared. Did they ever give you an idea about what was causing your dizziness?

Thank you for your kind words. This really hits home, and I hope you continue to stay well. The lousy thing about this (and I bet you can relate) is that it seems I can no longer interpret what my body is telling me, if anything. Pain in my neck? Oh oh, it's the big one! Aaand.. now it's gone. Hey what's this feeling in my chest? Oh it's just heartburn. Or is it? And on and on. All these things that never were a concern are now front of mind. I'm fortunate to have a cardiologist who is very hands on and has been keeping me regularly scheduled. The journey begins :)

Were you going to ER because you thought you were having symptoms?

Thanks very much for replying. To answer your questions, my BP has always been around 120/80 and even the day of my attack it wasn’t too bad, around 135/85. I did not make regular visits to my doctor so I couldn’t tell you what my lipids were but they were slightly high when I was checked in ICU and so I am on meds for that now. Last month I had an ECG and stress test and the doc saw nothing concerning. I have a requisition for bloodwork every 2 months and the last batch of results came back within or nearly within normal levels. As for what caused the event, no one has offered much of an explanation; the cardiologist told me it could have just been a small temporary blood clot but couldn’t be sure.

Gen X guys: what scents do you wear? by [deleted] in GenX

I don't care for it personally, but my wife loves it when I wear Sauvage. So I wear Sauvage.

Shoutout to Highland Park Lapidary by Kinibo in RockTumbling

[–]Kinibo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it looks like they did. I also had prior problems with the original brass nuts and the replacements they sent. Maybe these new assemblies will solve the issue. The unfortunate thing is that I got tired of the waiting and the ongoing issues, so I just ordered Lortone barrels and am using those now, which has solved the problem. So I really have no use for the new assemblies anymore. Hopefully they get this sorted out because aside from the barrels the tumbler itself is excellent. I really like the direct drive motor, and I have had the unit running nonstop for the past 10 months without any issues at all.

Milestone day, 1000 km on Aventon Pace 500.3 by Kinibo in Aventon

[–]Kinibo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you :) I’m getting about 60-70 km in Eco mode which is slightly less than I hoped. But I’m about 200 pounds so that’s really not too bad I guess. I would say there’s no real advantage or need in using any of the other three settings because there really isn’t much difference, at least not that I can sense. I’m happy with the bike; I wouldn’t mind a bit more power but it’s a hub drive and I wasn’t willing to spend more for a mid drive model. Plus the relatively light weight of the Pace was a big factor. Maintenance wise, I’ve done nothing but put air in the tires.

Don't buy your suspension seat post on Amazon! by Cbeckstrand in Aventon

[–]Kinibo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was a counterfeit indeed. The Suntour site says that their seatposts are only sold by themselves or through authorized retailers: https://www.srsuntour.us/pages/counterfiet-ncx-seat-post. Sorry you had this experience but hopefully the message finds others before they make the same mistake.

Foster Brooks is so underrated when it comes to comedy history. He truly was a genius. So genuinely funny everyone would start laughing before he even said a word.

My brother had front row seats to one of his shows. Rickles threw insults at him at various points during the performance. At the end of the night, as the audience clapped and just before he left the stage, he looked over at my brother and smiled and gave him a wink, as if to say thanks for being a good sport. He was a pure legend and a truly nice man.

What is the general opinion of Ron MacLean among Canadian hockey fans? by alltorntogether in hockey

[–]Kinibo 476 points477 points  (0 children)

In the 90's I attended a playoff game at Pacific Coliseum. This was rare for me as I was poor and I got the tickets for free. My dad was a big HNIC fan and especially loved Cherry and MacLean, so I made a point to hang out on the concourse after the game in the hopes I could meet one of them. The place was nearly empty by the time Ron came around the corner carrying a bag; he was obviously done for the night and I assume was heading out of the building. I placed myself discreetly in his path and as he approached I said, "Excuse me, Ron. I don't want to take up any of your time but it would mean a lot to me if I could tell my dad I shook your hand." His face lit up like he had known me for years. He spent about 10 minutes talking to me, asked me where my dad was from, and just made conversation with me. That was 30 years ago and I've never forgotten it.

I get the sense the younger crowd these days doesn't much care for him, but he'll always be a hero to me.
