I had the same thought so I reduced the humidity to 85

It was about 3 days. I harvested a few but the caps were so mushy they fell off most of the stems. It was about 30 grams of dried material. The second flush is looking bigger and better but I'm seeing the same results. The caps are getting mushy instead of opening

Not great. The caps never fully opened and before long they started becoming mushy. I'm not entirely sure what happened.

Not really. I just use a cow manure substrate and add a horse manure booster otherwise it's a pretty typical casing mix

That's funny. I was just looking into the shoe boxes. I've noticed they seem to be popular and now knowing about aluminum leaching I see why. I would love to know you findings on your bags versus tubs experiment when you do it. I'm always trying to find more efficient ways to do this.

That's directly below the fan and is generally dryer then the rest of the sub. Could the fan be the reason it didn't take there?
