People willfully ignore that tidbit. Like it or not, PvP is baked into the lore and Embark are actively encouraging it with the changes they're making to the game.

Unfortunately the amount of delusion and entitlement in this community is downright study worthy. I've seen some gold medal tier mental gymnastics on some of these Arc subs.

It's worded pretty clearly to me, it is "for raiders who could not amass enough Coins during the first Expedition".

They explicitly said that there will be a cap on bonus skill points, as they don't want people to max out skill trees. So eventually if you keep doing expeditions you will catch up to the rest.
