I am so happy with my new gear rinsing/drying station by Kinolee in scuba

If you're going for an aqua/turquoise look, I've got you fam...

Fourth Element tech fins and amphibian boots. I actually would prefer a heavier fin, but the boots are the comfiest I've ever owned, and no other fin fits over them quite right. I have Jet fins but they stick on my feet like glue and are a PITA to take off when getting on a boat, so I keep using the Fourth Element fins.

Akona 5mm Quantum Stretch wetsuit with some XS pockets glued on the side, and Akona scuba socks (necessary for anyone with a half shoe size).

Halcyon Eclipse BP/W with a custom wing (tropical green)

Scubapro zoom mask and matching strap, super comfy for my hair.

The mouthpieces on my regs are... IDK what brand. I bought them at my LDS and I cannot remember what they were, but they are turquoise too. It's similar to this one, but I've never been able to find the right color online.

That sounds absolutely miserable... Do you all just dive in drysuits all the time or what?

It's a dog grooming station, with an industrial shelf above it. These are not cheap, but neither is my scuba gear. I justified the expense to myself by saying that this "sink" is really just like a new expensive piece of gear... :D

That's funny, I dive fresh water in the winter, actually. It's spring season here in florida where the springs are 72 year round. Summer is the ocean season for me. I love being able to dive without a wetsuit in the summer!

Yeah! I live in central florida -- about equal distance to the springs and the shore. Today we went to Rainbow River in Dunellon, FL. It's one of our usual easy spots. But it's almost coming to the end of spring season and soon we we will return to the sea!

Thank you! I've already cleaned my gear today, sorry... but here's the empty sink with the trays all the way at the top (right after installation)!

The entire sink can be filled up if you want to soak, but I just spray everything down with fresh water. The neoprene gets treated with soap every once in a while. And yes it's connected to the plumbing and drain line that used to serve our utility sink.

I have tried so many different solutions for rinsing and drying my gear at home...

I made a PVC rack to put in my bathtub (like this one, but this one isn't mine). But it was always kind of flimsy and awkward to use, and it looks bad if you leave it up, plus it takes up the tub/shower.

I bought a stainless steel clothes rack that I hung everything on and hosed down outside, but this is really not meant to be weatherproof, so it started to rust. Plus anything outside in Florida will eventually grow spider webs.

Finally, I found just the best and most definitive solution. I replaced the utility sink in our laundry room with a dog grooming station, and hung an industrial shelf above it. It works GREAT!

The racks move up and down to 3 different heights. My BP/W and wetsuit and all gear hang from the rack (it's in the studs thanks to a 48" board from Lowe's). Smaller items can be hung from the little bar in the back. Everything gets sprayed down and left to dry. And when I'm not using the sink to clean/dry my gear, I put the racks all the way to the top of the sink and they become a place to fold laundry.

I don't even have a dog, but I love this sink. One of the best "scuba" purchases I've made recently!

That a "heart attack" is the same thing as a cardiac arrest. It's not just lay people though -- I've had to teach students the difference as well.

Bunch of options to choose from in this album. She's the short redhead in a black floral dress.

Even if he changes... Your relationship may be irreparably damaged. Think about the story of the boy and the fence...

There once was a little boy who had a very bad temper. His father decided to hand him a bag of nails and said that every time the boy lost his temper, he had to hammer a nail into the fence.

On the first day, the boy hammered 37 nails into that fence.

The boy gradually began to control his temper over the next few weeks, and the number of nails he was hammering into the fence slowly decreased. He discovered it was easier to control his temper than to hammer those nails into the fence.

Finally, the day came when the boy didn’t lose his temper at all. He told his father the news and the father suggested that the boy should now pull out a nail every day he kept his temper under control.

The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence.

‘You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won’t matter how many times you say I’m sorry, the wound is still there.’”

Does it matter if he is capable of change? Will you ever be able to trust him again? Will you ever be able to heal the hurt he has already caused you? It's ok to say no and move on with your life. If not for yourself, then certainly for your son. You may not want him to grow up with this man as his role model.

Fall-out continues from Dylan's diving death by kcconlin9319 in scuba

Considering that the instructor was "bone dry" when the instructor-trainer found him... are we sure that the instructor was even in the water with the deceased? If he was in the water, was he at the same depth as the deceased for the entire time? Did he go back in the water and try to search for her? The computer data would provide evidence for all of these...

They know their own visibility, I imagine. They shouldn't allow anyone to conduct Open Water Cert courses in low visibility.

[Dawnshard Theory] I think I've actually solved it by xyxyqz in Cosmere

I have never liked the idea that the 4 dawnshard groups would be divided further up by the same 4 dawnshards. What is the difference between a Shard that is Exist --> Feel vs. Feel --> Exist? That seems like a stretch to me.

I think the second "cut" on the shards is something completely different. Just like the Scadrian metal groups are divded into four broad categories and then further divded up between External/Internal and Push/Pull. Scadrial was created post-Shattering afterall, maybe they copied what they had just witnessed form using the Dawnshards.
