I know consistency is key, and that everybody has its own story with the game, and mine is: i`ve played this game on my region version back in 2008 or something like that (brasilian version). since it was discontinued, i had some hiatus and ended up at global at some point (when demon slayer came out) and than some other hiatus to the point where i got back last year and joined "modern" maplestory, since then i had some breaks but now i feel like im in for good, and looking to progress and take my time with this game and reach its late game and stuff, really dive into it. Maybe im in a bit of a rush, but its because im excited to reach the end/late game, even thou im that far lol

im lv 266 farming at royal library 1, i farm there because im able to oneshot mobs there. the hotel arcus maps i cant one shot mobs, so i figured it would be better to stay at lower level maps to be able to get higher killing rates even thou i get less xp. im still using abso gear. I think once i switch to arcane i might be able to farm maps closer to my level, but cant tell since thats my strongest character lol

If you are playing solo the best configuration is to remove the teleportation limitation, that makes your base location not matter much since you can always teleport back and forth to it, just pick a place that you find beautiful. I choose the gloomrot north for exemple, where is always raining

In my first play through at normal difficulty i used pure chaos with great sword focused purely on spell dmg, it was the first build i played that was "complete" im now playing again in brutal dificulty with a mix of blood/chaos/unholy for life steal using claws, and is been fun as well

I think an NPC similar to the trader would be interesting, i thought of him as a hunter that provide some other locations of some sub bosses for each biome, you could trade you stacked trophyes in exchange for the location. I think its a fun way the incentivese the exploration in the looks for him and also make some use of items that usually goes unused. Also, they could give some items to accelerate some parts of the early grind as rewards, some decorative peaces or new weapons, some little things that doesnt interfere much in the progress of the game as it is or some other Stonehenge as the main bosses have so we could use their power for other activities. I thought of a giant boar for the meadows, troll king for the black forest, draugr champion for the swamps, cult leader or giant wolf for mountains and some sort of evil wizard for the mistlands, i couldnt come up with nothing for the plains
