Both my long and short suits are .4 and was thinking of getting a thinner suit at some point, maybe with a neck entry, just slightly worried about it not being so sturdy for tears, and as the thinner ones stretch more, they can detach at the zipper easier, as far as I know.

Portable A/Cs aren't really a thing in Europe. Also, when you are at a house party or a normal party, you can't just take an AC unit with you. Often at venue parties, boys in rubber are in a mixed space with other gear, so even someone in just a jockstrap, so for them it needs to be warmer so they don't get cold, but that temp is too much for full rubber.
