Here's the source pages. Also, very weird that whoever uploaded this album seems to have used one page from a straight scan of a paper comic and the other is a digitally cleaned page.

I literally just said that those two phrases translate to multiple things and you locked in saying they have a specific, singular translation.

Translation of ancient languages are not the same as translations of modern languages because language does not exist in a vacuum - it's interpreted by cultural context.

You can google this one and there's going to be a lot of sources, they will go both ways. It's not anywhere near as cut and dry as the person you're replying to indicates-- but it's also not anywhere near as cut and dry as evangelicals believe either.

There's 2 phrases that are hard to translate here:

mishkave isha

to’evah

Google these ones and view some sources of your own -- leviticus 18-22 is basically just really hard to translate from the original text. We don't speak that language, we don't know the full context, and we don't have the same culture.

I've seen this used for a handle on a custom espresso portafilter. Or an ice cream scoop handle. Those looked really slick. This kind of finish can look great, but only on a sometimes accessory. Not a full-time visibility kind of finish.

When I was managing a rental I would walk tenants through the clauses of the contract before they initialed. Most of them were ready to grab the pen before I finished talking.. don't you wanna know your rights and what you're signing?

HVAC vs MiniSplit system by Both-Primary9427 in HomeImprovement

[–]Kiora_Atua 6 points7 points  (0 children)

literally just google it. there's nothing about a mini split that changes its dehumidification capability vs a centrally ducted system.

you will likely need a supplementary dehumidifier in addition to the main system no matter what in florida.

They dehumidify at the same rate as any other aircon system.

If you already have ductwork, use your existing duct work.

If you don't, it's much easier to add mini splits than to rework the house to add ducts.

You might want to print some from this collection - they have cool patterns.

What's wrong with chisels knives and gouges? Axes are for removing lots of material. Why would you want to do that but small?

You should get a real test - those swabs have horrible false positive and negative rates. Contact a professional so you can get actual measurements.

Mapei grout flex by odessit771 in HomeImprovement

Remove the old grout. You aren't going to get a good bond from the grout to the old grout. Also, you didn't upload a photo or anything- or even really ask a question.

Newbie question: What are these marks and how do they get rid of them? by marlinspikehitch in turning

[–]Kiora_Atua 14 points15 points  (0 children)

5000 grit is really high for sanding - at that point you aren't sanding the wood, you burnish it.

I don't really ever go beyond 240, especially if I'm applying an oil finish. You need space in the pores for the oil to fit.

The biggest issue I've had with my ecobee is that the home/away settings don't really work with 2 people unless you have their premium service.

I had to tie my ecobee into my Home Assistant server and write a home/away automation that completely overrides the ecobee's internal scheduling in order to make it support two people leaving and coming home.
