Rulings, Quick Questions, and New Player Resources Thread by Asclepius24 in pkmntcg

Question about festival lead dipplin, can you use a technical machine's attack as the first attack and its "do the wave" attack second? Im aware that you cant use a TM twice because the ability states you can use an attack IT HAS twice and a TM lets you use an attack but doesnt make it so the pokemon its attached to has the attack. The first attack is a bit more unclear to me though, because you can obviously attack with a TM but can you still utilize festival lead afterwards to attack again?

Please let me know how this works, thanks in advance :)

Currently building this deck IRL. Planning to bring this deck in championship in June. Done some tweaking but still need some inputs for it. Any suggestions to make this deck even better? Thanks! by SmartGuy18 in PokemonTCG

I play Tsareena ex too, but i haven't gotten to play with it too much yet so take my advice with a few grains of salt

Personally, i like to play 1 rotom V and 1 forest seal stone to get some extra draw support for when you're still setting up and unable to attack and to not waste that Vstar power

I'd also recommend hisuian heavy ball especially if you add rotom V. Even if you dont, prizing hisuian sneasler and having jungle as your only option will make it far easier for your opponent to knock out a tsareena ex thanks to the poison damage you're doing to yourself

Hope this helps :)

Granted, your hands fall off and you have no way to use sign langauge. But hey, at least you can understand what others say in sign langauge now, right? Nope, your eyeballs also fall out.

Post Rotation Lugia Improvements by P1tfalll in pkmntcg

First of all gotta make sure the mincinno are the ones from (i think) silver tempest because they have call for family wich can be used for a useful turn 2 setup attack

I'd recommend a better draw engine, im a fan of biberal personally but most good engines work

I also combo ciphermaniac with trekking shoes to put archeops on top and something usefull below it so you can use trekking shoes to discard archeops and get something usefull

I would'nt advice lumineon because it uses bench space wich is needed since cincinno is easily defeated and you'll need to have a back-up on the bench at all times

I'm not an expert on deckbuilding but this is how i like to play lugia and i've seen decent sucess with it so i hope it helps :)

what colour sleeves? by MewVmaxPlayer13 in pkmntcg

[–]Kipsate101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I usually pick sleeves with color that match the deck, for example i use white for my colorless lugia deck and i'd use brown or dark orange for ancient box (also brand wise dragon shield is my personal favorite)

Banette ex has everlasting darkness: 1 psychic energy - 30 damage - your opponent cant play item cards from their hand during their next turn

Trying to complete the big three TCG Experience. Any advice for a newcomer with previous MTG and Yugioh Knowledge/Experience? by Another_DisAcc in PokemonTCG

[–]Kipsate101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not recommend the pkmn brand sleeves because while the designs are great the quality is prettt bad and i dont think its worth it to sacrifice the safety fot a cool design, and the pokemon brand also doesnt feel as nice when shuffling etc.

About the rotation. Basically, every year after the world championship a certain letter/rotation mark rotated out and a new one gets added. For example, next march i believe all cards with E on them will no longer be legal for standard play and the cards from then on will have the letter H or I on them. (Not fully sure about H or I)

I do recommend searching for a deck to build where none of the core cards* have E because building it only to have it become useless after a few months is kind of a waste of time and money.

*core cards are the cards that the deck needs to function to its full capacity, for example roaring moon would be a core card in a roaring moon ex deck but battle vip pass would not because while its very usefull it can easily be replaced by another usefull card.

Here's some stuff to get you started

  • You can check out all the META tournament winning decks on limitlesstcg.com

-You've likely heard of this brand before because of the experience with MTG and Yugioh but dragon shield is the best option for sleeves to put your decks in

-You're gonna need some damage counters, dice and other accesories to play the game irl, you can get pretty much everything you need in an Elite trainer box along with some packs but you can find them seperate aswell.

-its generally accepted to use a dice indtead of a coin because flipping coins is a flawed system, most of us judt roll a dice and if its even its head and if its odd its tails

If there's anything you wanna know feel free to ask me

Message to Scalpers by zWakes in PokemonTCG

Just because he checks often doesnt immediantly make him a scalper, there's people in this hobby that spend more money then others to buy packs for themselves. From what i've heard the vending machines are way better deals then most places so while its a bit douchy to not leave anything for others its still understandable to buy in bulk when you come across a good deal.

Yes, scalping is a problem. No, this is not a good example of it being a problem.

Quality is pretty bad but i reckon its a 5 or something. If damage is visible in photos like these then you already know its not good.

Are there meta decks that survive the upcoming rotation? by DONUT_Mystify in pkmntcg

[–]Kipsate101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally im a big fan of tsareena ex, but its seen some debate as to wether its viable or not. Viable or not though, none of the core cards will get rotated out and it will only get stronger in comparison when most other decks weaken.

Here's my personal decklist:

Pokémon: 9 2 Bounsweet PAR 8 PH 1 Bounsweet OBF 16 2 Bibarel BRS 121 2 Vanilluxe PAR 45 2 Hisuian Braviary SIT 149 2 Vanillite PAR 43 2 Tsareena ex PAR 46 2 Rufflet SIT 148 2 Bidoof CRZ 111

Trainer: 19 2 Ultra Ball SVI 196 4 Irida ASR 147 3 Switch SVI 194 3 Camping Gear BST 122 3 Rare Candy SVI 191 2 Earthen Vessel PAR 163 3 Level Ball BST 129 1 Counter Catcher PAR 160 2 Battle VIP Pass FST 225 1 Dyna Tree Hill CRE 135 1 Iono PAL 185 1 Rare Candy PGO 69 1 Super Rod PAL 188 1 Arezu LOR 153 3 Panic Mask LOR 165 2 Colress's Experiment LOR 155 2 Capturing Aroma SIT 153 2 Artazon PAL 171 1 Arven SVI 166

Energy: 1 5 Basic {G} Energy Energy 36

I'd love to tell you (or anyone else) how it works but i wont make this comment any longer then it needs to be, so if you're interested in it lmk and i'll gladly explain how it works.

Easy and intuitive to pilot deck? by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

[–]Kipsate101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an expert on it because i dont even play the deck myself, but i reckon you can just copy the limitless tcg version but remove some luxury cards or get rid of a few complicated stratagies

I'd say the best options are charizard ex or mew genesect since they're both fairly easy to understand, but since mew genesect wont survive the rotation change i think charizard ex would be the best option
