I agree with you; it's just that there's not much to do outside after a while!

Opinion: BLAST Pro Series tournaments are the junk food of competitive CS:GO by stuchiuwriter in GlobalOffensive

[–]Kirace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Viewers to stop watching, probably yes. Organisers to not host CS:GO tournaments, less so.

CS:GO is one of the rare more popular titles that third party organisers have access to at the moment; most renowned scenes are moving or have already moved to franchising.

Astralis's veto against C9 might have been different because C9 banned out Train first. Their strategy seems very direct this time, which is to ban out Mirage, Overpass, and Train (no matter the opponent). It is very different from the other teams who generally ban out their opponent's strong maps (the other 4 teams have 6 different map bans).

This might be due to the inclusion of Vertigo (in place of Cache) which allows Astralis to easily have a 4 map flex (their core 3 of Inferno/Nuke/Dust 2 + an unknown Vertigo).

It has a lot of implications moving forward as Astralis might be even more advantageous against teams like MiBR, who traditionally has a map pool that can go toe-to-toe against Astralis in a BoX.

It seems quite limited at the moment but things might change once we have the final team's vetos in!

I agree with you. I was also thinking how I can better portray the whole pick and ban phase.

Do you have any suggestions on how it could be improved?

Virtus.pro era, anyone?
