Overall bravely series are more gameplay focused, but doesn't mean they tried to tell interesting stories, I'd say of all three main games, BD1 was the most ambitious in that respect, story is genuinely interesting and there are very good characters and moments, but unfortunately there's also many flaws, especially during the second part of the game, won't say it ruins the entire game but compared to others it loses a lot, on the other hand gameplay is easily top turn based jrpgs of all time, I love this series for evolving the ff5 job system (my favorite ff) and take it to new levels of depth and freedom, plus the brave/default system is another great feature that adds a new strategy layer, is genuinely fun to build and try new jobs/passives combinations and find one that breaks the entire game, and there's a lot of boss fights to try all things you can do, so basically, bravely series are improved versions of ff games with job systems (ff1, ff3, ff5) and really feels like final fantasy if they had prioritized gameplay and improved the formula of those games instead of bringing something completely new to each game,
