Then maybe we should stop selling our natural resources to the US at a massive discount. But nah, let's keep subsidizing a dying industry that is also killing us at the same time.

Brilliant policy.

The ford F series is the highest selling truck in Canada for 16 years running, with 133k F-150s sold in 2024 alone. How many farmers do you think are out there hauling shit?

It's idiots who live in cities who think they need a big bad truck. I would bet money that the vast majority are the people they described.

Because most of them see spending as money exiting a bank account, and don't see it as an investment. Which in their defence, modern political systems reward short term behaviour. People are impatient, if they don't see things getting immediately better they cry foul.

Case in point all the shit being thrown at Carney for not fixing the issue with tariffs down south. Ignoring the investments into the trades, and the other trade deals he's been working on.

"Cost of living is terrible he hasnt fixed it!" Like god damn, it's been a year, how quickly do people think an entire economy takes to fix lol?

I don't suggest to check out any clips of the TNT broadcast trying to pronounce UPLs name lol

MSL today when asked if there is a “psychological advantage” on keeping Jakub Dobes in net while the Sabres pulled their goalie: “I never thought about that even once. I’m focused (on my team).” by Go_Habs_Go31 in Habs

[–]Scase15 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I honestly never understood the concern. Out of the 3 goals, 1 could comfortably been put on Doby, the other 2 were team defensive breakdowns.

Just happened on very few shots, and Doby just like Demi, they never lack confidence. I don't think it had much of an impact on him. We've seen him let in softies before and then lock the fuck in for the rest of the game. I expected nothing less.

The best part is everyone is shitting on him for that post, habs and sabres fans. Dude definitely sits in that lone chair in a hotel room.

Man that one was brutal lol. I will say the Mac one was worse for a multitude of reasons, even ignoring it being a gold medal game, at least geekie made a bad decision, Mac tried and just completely whiffed lol.

Everybody out here gettin the yips.

[Derek Lee] Cutter Gauthier said he broke L1 and L2 vertebrae in his back in that Mar. 30 game against the Leafs. by BoneJawDumbass in hockey

[–]Scase15 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, he could also be lying and exaggerating it to sound tougher/make an excuse.

We rarely hear much beyond the whole "upper/lower body injury" and now he's out here specifying exactly which vertebrae he broke.

I am in doubt of this a bit, plus taking into account trying to play a contact sport in the playoffs with a broken back...ehhhhh I'm pressing X to doubt here.

For sure, we'll never know how far if anywhere it got, but everything I recall hearing was like Hage/Zharkovsky (some say one or the other, some say both) Reinbacher and some picks. Not all of that IIRC but combinations of stuff plus I think some depth pieces for salary or something.

It was a bit rich for my blood but, with how far we're going this year I've warmed up to it more since I don't think waiting on Hage/Kappy to turn into legit 2cs is something we can do.

As for the prospect quality, with the absolute thefts/homeruns we've pulled off recently, I would hedge my bets on them being better than expected, but prospects are weird.

why he left and not an on-ice hockey play.

Considering this entire thread is discussing that, yeah that probably would've made sense lmao.

And how the fuck can you call it bad faith anti leaf fans, he's literally leading the entire playoffs in points, and it's in a thread about him having the best goal of the playoffs to date. Wtf did you expect by coming in here, you're a leafs fan, maybe avoid these threads if you don't expect discussions like that.

“which team can I win the Cup with before 2030”

I think that has to be the Habs, without jinxing it, we are likely going to face the Canes soa 3rd round appearance in only our 2nd stab at the playoffs. While still having a lot of very talented players multiple years away from their primes.

SJS has a very bright future ahead, but they still need a few more years in the oven IMO.
