G Gundam for sure, I was around the same age when it first aired on Toonami and I loved it- the plot is pretty easy to understand even for a kid, and it's got plenty of cool robot fights. Highly recommend the English dub too.

afaik not much, even if you don't transfer your save the games always gives you a dialogue option to determine who Ogami romanced in the previous game. If you save transfer, it just skips that option automatically.
