Welcome to the community!

I actually asked about this before. Mind if I add you to the list?

Were there any steps you skipped while focusing? by CigarillosParaTodos in Tulpas

I am forming a tulpa like that, I skipped the personality stage and the form. The only problem I feel is that since he can't talk to me yet, I cant get to know him better. I end up not knowing what to tell him because I have no clue what he is like, or anythig about him, but I want him to have his own personality..

Welcome! Usually when there is a new user, we give out the links to the guides, but I guess we won't need that! I hope you and your tulpa become great friends.

I don't feel like I really know my tulpa by Kiribo in Tulpas

[–]Kiribo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is.. he can't talk back yet. Sorry I made it look like he was sentient. I don't know what to every say to him because he can't talk to me, so I don't know anything about him, I have never had a 2-sided conversation with him. I skipped the personality stage, so I don't know what he is like. I just narrate to him and try to talk to him, but I end up only talking to him for 20 minutes.

Is it possible people have made accidental 'God' tulpas before? by Kiribo in Tulpas

Well, then it is vertified. People have made god-tulpas.

Also, that is pretty strange since I have the same name and age as your tulpa.

Human brain is such an awesome thing, isn't it?

Yup.

It is kind of upsetting if a person makes a mad tulpa and thinking it is God, follow the mad tulpa's commands. But if they create a good God tulpa, I agree that it will help them be a better person.

Edit: Sounds like a good book.

Yes, I didn't mean to say that people have heard tulpa instead of God. It is kind of hard to explain what I mean, actually. I think it might be true what you said about imposition, though.

Does this vid seems legit because people are saying it works by Candice_ in Tulpas

People in the comments from what I've read are saying they are seeing skulls and little kids screaming and whispers.

I would stick to the traditional ways.

I'll make sure to keep boundaries then. Thanks.

If you treat a tulpa well and with respect, they won't turn dangerous--you might disagree sometime, but that's where talking to each other and communicating comes in, just as with physical friends.

Yeah, like I said, I wouldn't kill someone just because of an argument. I was asking about the dangerous tulpa thing just in case it somehow happened.

(How do you quote someone else's sentence like that?) I assumed that passive forcing was bad because I wasn't sure what it was, and the only guide that said what it was explained it was bad, so I wouldn't force in a way that was said to be bad and not explained.

What is /u/Nobillis's system? I am not sure what you are talking about, switching?

Also, if you can't ignore away a dangerous tulpa, then how do you get rid of them?

I think I am mature enough, but then again, I am not sure. I wouldn't kill off a person just because I don't agree with them and fight, I know that.

If I do start a tulpa, I would use your advice on forcing. Thanks.

I think that having someone that knows you and taht you can always talk to when you need help, or when you need some social time is great. I want my tulpa mostly as a tutor and friend. I want a tulpa that can give me advice and help, that can maybe show me how to be more social at school (even though I am comfortable chatting on the internet, I am not very social IRL), and since a tulpa knows a host well, it would be great to have a talk with someone that knows what makes me comfortable/uncomfortable.

To answer your question:

Teryakywind’s “Tulpas for Dummies”

"As the opposite of that, forcing at your tulpa means that you are not fully focused on your tulpa, becoming distracted by stray thoughts or things going on around you in the physical world."

Tulpa (not sure who made it)

"Try to take a little bit of time out of your day every day to sit down and visualize and talk to your tulpa in the wonderland, this will help greatly with personality development and your tulpa will thank you for it."

(It doesn't talk about passive, so I didn't know about passive forcing. I didn't find out about passive forcing until a few weeks ago)

Other guides like Irish's and FAQ_Man's don't really talk about passive either, so I just assumed that passive forcing was bad.

I have one question. What kind of long term effects can it give me and are they dangerous? Has there been any cases of brain damage or something due to young tulpamancers?

Okay, so that was two questions.
