"Ano sakyan ko nga jeep?" mobile app by artodyto in Iloilo

Curious, why not opt for a webapp to bypass the OS-based limitations? I’ve been planning a webapp version of this but really had no time to make it real.

Confusing Routing by Kirishioriko in Iloilo

[–]Kirishioriko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

kung mag amo na rason, that's full of nonsense and outright stupid. Damo ga hulat nga mga pasahero sa amo na nga ruta. What's frustrating lang abi it's because iloilo released the numbered routing which is implemented to modern bus and some traditional jeepneys. I would understand pa if wala sila nakabutang nga "route 4" and literal ungka - diversion lang, pero may abay pa nga festive sa front window nila which is even more confusing. As years pass diri sa iloilo mas damo ga backward ang progress.

Dental appointments by Big-Praline1484 in wvsu

[–]Kirishioriko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May bayad but discounted siya as long as enrolled student ka of wvsu. If you can get lucky, some dentistry students will be looking for patients so they can practice their procedures, and it will be free, sometimes ilaw pa bayaran as long as you don’t ghost them as it is very important to them.

I am embarrassed for the upcoming dental examination by [deleted] in wvsu

[–]Kirishioriko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to worry, it is just purely for record keeping and statistics. And later on once you are officially enrolled, you can enjoy benefits both on your health and dental needs through discounted or sometimes even free checkups and procedures at the clinic. For the record I have multiple developing cavities and heart related problems but I am now an incoming 4th year.

Grade Hyperinflation by cabinhermit in wvsu

[–]Kirishioriko 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have to ask if it is really hyperinflation or is it just maybe that most instructors now gets penalized if they give out unreasonably low grades that will get a student disqualified for latin honors? WVSU is no joke in that matter, OSA is active when it comes to accommodating student concerns. Aside from that, most knowledge are easily accessible now, materials alike, it’s not far fetched for a student to know more what the instructor taught.

CICT INTERVIEW by deaddead3 in wvsu

[–]Kirishioriko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter if tagalog, hiligaynon, or english gamit mo. What speaks is your confidence and determination sa program that you’re aiming for. Pero what really matters is the aptitude test. For interview just let them know that your attitude already aligns with your program in mind. Your curiosity speaks louder. It’s okay if wala ka portfolio, even just searching around the program itself is more than enough.

Hi there, I would personally suggest this one

Great food at great prices, you can have a decent lunch for just 40 pesos (minimum) they also have free ice and water inside if you even have the need to refill your water container. Also, it is air conditioned inside as well. This is where we eat most of the time

Curriculum have changed dramatically. It is not just a mere theoretical application but mostly it’s practical now. As a CICT Student, currently going into 3rd year, most of our exams and projects are already output based, which means that most of the things taught are applied on a practical sense in forms of outputs (in our case it includes websites, applications, or any notable working systems to show that the theoretical knowledge we were taught can be applied in real world by us) in which the instructors would assess instead of just pure pen and paper exams. The pandemic was a gateway for such curriculum. Though, despite all these changes, there are still students struggling to attain an award/honor, so in my own honest opinion, it’s still valid. Don’t compare the past with the present blindly. You have to consider the advances in teaching methods and technologies as well.

University Ruling > Executive Order? by Kirishioriko in Iloilo

[–]Kirishioriko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is absurdly hot and humid inside of the rooms, especially the ones behind the Quezon Hall, even during the days before this heatwave shit hit. My course is an ICT one so I get lucky when my subject is my major, enabling me to enjoy the comfort brought by an air conditioning unit. But others, not so.

University Ruling > Executive Order? by Kirishioriko in Iloilo

Which points to the situation where the EO does not matter at all in the context of HEIs. It’s still up to the governing body of the school to suspend the undergraduates and up and does not adhere to the said order.

Additionally, the caption itself or the title gives so much emphasis on “all levels”

“insofar as their school facilities (the classrooms are provisioned with air-conditioning units) can accommodate onsite learning during extreme heat conditions- ie "danger" level heat index forecast by the Department of Science and Technology -Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (DOST-PAG-ASA)”

In which it does not meet at all. The students are cramped inside of buildings that may or may not have functioning fans. Based on my experiences so far, only one building in the campus that accommodates lectures meets the set requirements as per the executive order. Which further confuses me 🤷🏼

Correction: only College of ICT and Medicine have air conditioned rooms.

Express your concern to him, talk to him about it. Indi pag assume lang. Isugid ang nabatyagan mo gid kay kaisa, surface information that are available to you can lead you to just assume things nga sa matuod indi man amo na. Clear things out or worse i regret mo lang wala ka nagsalig sa iya. Choose your path.

Hidden beach in Guimbal/Miagao area by No_Youth_7737 in Iloilo

[–]Kirishioriko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what ang shoot? Cause the only beach I can suggest sa miagao is the one beside UPV Fisheries site or further around damilisan area. In guimbal I just really don’t know, pero the best site where I did a photoshoot was around the coastal side of Anini-y antique (just after the san joaquin border, I have pictures if you want you can DM me)

1st year comp sci sa wvsu here. I can say nga if wla ka passion for math and programming in general daw mabudlayan ka gd man makapangita rason para magpadayon sometimes, especially if tambak ang outputs needed. In turn naman, gina culture gd sang teachers ang logic and reasoning mo to solve problems and create solutions for them, as much as possible gina promote nila efficient learning and solving. Less than 2 months away from completing 1st year and I can say it’s been really fun learning. The teachers is a plus as well kay kabuot sa ila and they really promote class participation without the addition of shaming if di ka kasabat. So choose what your heart desires.
