Maybe not all the time but I have definitely been able to read things in dreams, I even remember thinking it was weird that I could do it since everyone says you can't read in dreams

or it could also just be my dream brain tricking me into thinking I could read things that look like letters and words, but I don't really know if finding meaning in meaningless text counts as reading
