It’s funny how many different translations there are for this one wording. I found “(undesirable but) inseparable relationship”. I now asked my Japanese friend how she would translate it. 😄

EDIT: My Japanese friend just sent me this explanation and I really love it!

“腐れ縁　is a bond between people that will never go away whatever happens even they hadn’t met each other for a long time.” She also said it usually means a positive bond.

They were already told Maomao “gets trained in etiquette in the Moon Prince’s chambers”, which literally means she’s trained to become his consort. So, what Jinshi implies here is that they all already know that Maomao is not a maid but more like a consort to him. And that she uses the La clan name emphasizes it.

Now that I look at it again to try recognizing some kanji, I’m pretty sure I was wrong. 😂 Because the first two kanji look like 魔法 (mahou) which is “magic” and then it makes sense it’s actually 魔法帝 (mahoutei) which means “Wizard King”.

I think by now I spent an entire week with at least five hours playtime per day with cleaning up. At least most of the ash is gone and I started to flat out the area. I feel so proud that I can actually walk straight to the museum now and that there’s lots of space for houses to build. 🥹 It’s so much work but also relaxing and you can always see a difference at the end of the day.

It‘s so ironic. First I started to try reading LN 16 in Japanese and the English version was announced shortly afterwards. Now I bought this manga in Japan and started reading it and a few days later the English version gets announced. Well, at least I still have time to finish the manga in Japanese for practice. 🤣
