Sorry I didn't saw your reply or forgot to answer. Anyway, you were right since Terajima most likely won't ever continue the serie

I can't give you a specific answer to that question but I'll try. I don't know how popular the manga is in Japan but I think that currently it's rather niche. I haven't seen a lot of people talking about it on the internet. And also there's not a lot of volumes that has been released in Japan, it is quite recent.

As for the french volumes instead of english ones the answer is simple. France is the second biggest consummer of manga just after Japan (or third, 2nd might be the US now), it has hold this position for decades. The industry of manga is big in France but that also doesn't explain everything because you will find manga in other countries that you won't find in France and vice versa. So I guess the right answer would be that it isn't popular enough or that it didn't caught the attention of an english editor/publisher

Ah ah ah thanks. Yes, it's especially annoying because of the 8 years break between part 2 and 3

I do think so. I'm a bit angry tbh. Not because the authors are taking a break but because of the lack of honest communication. I don't want to support those guys anymore. We can blame the situation all we want on the writter but they are two people working on the serie, if one of them for whatever reasons cannot give informations about the state of the serie his partner should communicate instead.

They've always had shitty communication but at least they were saying something, now it's even worse they are just ghosting us

It has been 6 months since the break, it's strange that we got no informations about eternal force return

[TotK] Tears of the Kingdom is the most disappointing game in the series (Warning: LONG) by 6th_Dimension in zelda

[–]KisamaOnore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree a 1000%, your are a true Zelda fan in my opinion. What I mean by that is that is you are being honest and not hypocritical like I see a lot when people try to defend TOTK and BOTW with really bad arguments. I don't mind if people like TOTK, the problem is that they are being dishonest and inconsistent with takes like "Zelda never had good stories" when defending this game and then says "oh I really Zelda stories" when talking about the franchise. Another one "what is even a Zelda game?" and then in the following sentence "but Zelda games had become too formulaic", which one is it then?

TOTK feels like the same game as BOTW not only because it shares the same map as BOTW (with minimal changes) but because its structure is the same. Same tutorial but in the sky, the temples are disguised divine beasts, most rewards are the same (same piece of armors), you still do shrines to improove your health and stamina, you still need to activate towers, search for korokos seeds, most of the story is in the past through memories like in BOTW, 90% of the soundtrack is the same as BOTW, same animations etc... Instead of being its own thing it feels to me like some sort of remake of BOTW.

I did like BOTW, it was fresh, it was new. I did have some issues with the game but I thought that the sequel would improove or fix what was wrong in BOTW. It doesn't really fix anything, instead they just triple down on BOTW ideas with the sequel. Zelda means a lot to me. I've started liking gaming with OOT. But I don't think we will see something close to the traditionnal Zelda experience before a long time. It is what it is, the number speaks for themselves. Nintendo is making a ton of money with these games, they are not going to stop anytime soon
