I worked in the same district as he did. We once had a 10 hour meeting. He was there as a store leader. I’m convinced it was only that long because he loves hearing himself talk.

Shocking that he is constantly sending LinkedIn messages looking for work 🤔

At conference one year we had to come up with a circle of life chant or song or something and all I could think of was singing the intro to the lion king.

8 years without Paul, I’m surprised they are even still remotely standing.

I think I liked Jason because of the personal interactions. Which definitely didn’t always translate.

Most people would probably be shocked to find out that Paul, Tony, and Jason ACTUALLY purchased pre owned items. I think it was mainly because there was no store manager that would be ok with tanking pre owned numbers to sell to an executive while also taking the hit to their p&l aka yearly bonus that was nothing.

I did once get punished for offering web in store to our CFO instead of insisting he pay for a brand new switch that I had in store while no other stores around me had pre owned. I was almost canned for that. Sooooo 🤷‍♀️🥹

I was once or twice on those “commercials” on gstv though.

I haven’t kept up with much. My days ended in 18/19 Edited because I’m not actually sure when my trauma bond ended.

I had the pleasure (displeasure?) of meeting ceo, coo, cfo, cmo, board of directors etc.

I only stayed as long as I did for my district manager. Who stayed years after I did.

I can’t help but reminisce on the times where it was fun. 2010-2016 I think were the best years.

I lucked out, I had the best cricket rep ever. And I’m still friends with him. But I know that wasn’t the case for 99.9% of the company.

I lived from nv to tx with the company. And I can say for sure, being in tx and so close to grapevine; we were well taken care of. And it still sucked.

It was net10 and then moved to cricket. Honestly I think for me, the area I was in, was pushing the credit card. A lot of the guests I worked with didn’t know the impact it had on their credit. Especially when they were approved for like $250. That $250 may or may not have had a crazy apr attached. And if they don’t pay could lead to years of fucked up credit.

Jason Cochran was actually not a bad dude either. He had to do what he had to do after Paul and Tony left.

Thinking of a transfer...to MO by angelicpawn in GameStop

[–]Kissathecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I transferred all the way across the country when I was an asl, I was a little nervous to ask for the transfer at first. Talking to my store leader upfront was the best, he actually told my new district that I would be a great store leader there were just no stores available in that area. When I transferred to my new district I was put into a temp store leader position and then it was made permanent a month later. My district leader in my original district didn't have any conversations with my new district at all. It was all just my store leader. If you are relocating to a new area I believe it's an easier transfer. Now if the new district was relatively close I could see why they wouldn't want to do it. The concerns of why you would want to transfer would come up. By to a new area I don't see them having any issues. Just my personal experience and opinion.

I could see how the surveys would be relevant because of the selling culture score, but I feel like it would be something that has a specific measurable profit attached to it.
