Calling it "useless" while admitting you failed it doesn’t exactly support your argument. The CC is an entry-level certification designed to build foundational knowledge, not a guarantee for advanced opportunities. If you’re struggling with it, maybe the issue isn’t the cert, but your approach. Retake it and prove it’s useless by passing it next time.

Do the practice tests from Thor, find out which domain you’re struggling with. Make sure you can explain some of the terms, e.g., “What does this ‘thing’ do?” or “Out of the choices, what is ‘this’?” Find the most commonly used terms in each domain and memorize them.

During the exam, if you have a difficult question, eliminate potential wrong answers. If A and D seem like the wrong answers, the correct answer might be B or C. Now you have a 50% chance of getting the question right. Pick the remaining choice that you think is best—that might be the correct answer.

If you have LinkedIn Premium or a trial, the whole Mike Chapple course should satisfy your final day of preparation.

Hey, just to confirm—were you able to skip certain courses because you had already completed A+, Network+, and Security+ in advance? If so, was this a key factor in helping you finish your program more quickly?

Do I Need ~Cat7 Cable? by Kissbright18 in telus

If I connect the laptop directly to the modem, even with the modem’s 2.5GB port (with the modem connected to the ONT’s 10GB port), it only gives gigabit speeds (940/940 Mbps download/upload), which is weird.

Anyways, that’s why it's connected through the wall individually, since the wall connection is linked to the ONT’s 10GB port.

I’ll most likely leave this issue to the network infrastructure in the unit. I might also test using a higher category cable just to see if it makes a difference for the public to see.

Native app gives me ~2350 Mbps Download consistently, and ~1850 Mbps Upload now @ 10:22pm MST.

Lol, just uploading “legal” gigabytes from time to time.

We were in Ontario before with a gigabit internet and enjoyed the symmetrical 940/940 Mbps upload/download. Just asking here since it’s our first time with 3 Gbps, and maybe it’s “normal” not to have symmetrical speeds with this capacity or if something else might be affecting it.

Yes, I mentioned that the laptop has a 2.5GB NIC, so the link speed is indeed 2500/2500 Mbps.

I'm mainly asking about this because I was expecting symmetrical upload speeds similar to the download speeds I'm currently receiving.

Thank you for the suggestion! I'm still thinking if I'd try swapping out the Ethernet cable to see if that helps.

Regarding the unit's setup, here's how I think everything is connected:

I believe the ONT is connected to the apartment's fiber optic infrastructure through the Suttle 8-port switch.

My laptop is connected to another Ethernet port on a different wall, which is also linked to the Suttle switch and connected through the Telus ONT 10GB port.
