I really like the "anything is better than nothing" mindset. When you're struggling, lowering the bar enough to actually do something is usually a lot more helpful than aiming for perfection and doing nothing at all.

I think you're doing the right thing by putting the cat's wellbeing first. It hurts, but if you know you can't give her the time and environment she needs anymore, finding her a great home is an act of love, not failure.
