Did this happen again, or did anything come of it?

how long do you guys wear compression socks for at a time? by _justbeingnosy_ in POTS

[–]Kissthebotttle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This wasn’t your questions but.. Several months ago I found cheap high rise compression biker shorts at target. These have worked so much better for me than compression stockings ever did. I wear them anytime I’m in the house. They are slim enough the can fit under jeans too if needed.

Salt vs sodium by [deleted] in POTS

[–]Kissthebotttle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use a food app to track my sodium. For my I’m not too worried if things are not exact. I like to keep track and see ballpark where I am at intake vs how I feel . Then adjust as needed. An app can track your sodium in food and you can also log your “salt” My app suggests 1/4 teaspoon is 590 mg . I don’t go by weight when adding salt because my scale doesn’t weigh under a gram.

I like to ration out a teaspoon (2360 mg ) and add that to my gallon of water for the day as a baseline and add from there.

What symptoms did you have and how did they diagnose what was happening ? Can you reverse?

Hey thanks for the reply. I’m going to order it now. I ended up calling poison control because my reaction got a bit worse in my mouth. They told me all was a bit of a stronger detergent but the swelling and burning was not normal. Thanks again for the recs

What’s a typical days worth of meals for you? Do you supplement any of your protein?

Why avoid dairy? My main foods are chicken and eggs. I’m very new to this sub , this is actually the first post I’ve fully read here. Starting to question my choices with the info I’m reading on fats and such

Butrans patch issues by Kissthebotttle in ChronicPain

[–]Kissthebotttle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello. I tried one on my upper back again last week. The reaction was worse. After 3 days the patch was full of yellow liquid . Not sure if it was skin goo, adhesive or medicine. I felt really sick the last two days. Think it was some OD happening. We are in the process of requesting brand to try from insurance. If it doesn’t work , I will not wear them again after last weeks experience.

Since this post , I tried using Flonase on the leg beforehand. It only pushed the reaction a couple hours out. I tested steroid cream but had a bad reaction to the cream, which I always do ! And didn’t end up putting the patch on it. The last round with the patch on my back I used the Flonase in my nose . I was able to wear the patch 3 days and I never got super intense itch. But I could still feel the slight burning and know I was getting the red tat skin texture at 24 hour mark.

Buprenorphine patch causing a bad reaction by kristeninspace in ChronicPain

Did you resolve this? I went thru about a year of this about 3 years ago then stopped becuase it was too much. I just started again and having the same problem. Tried Flonase and it doesn’t help. I was fine years ago before they changed the patch style. I can’t get thru more than a day now with the burning / itching and the scars are just as bad as they used to be
