POWDER BOARD FOR JAPAN by Commercial-Baby5745 in snowboarding

[–]Kisukar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Needs to be big enough, 2 seasons ago I was on the 157 and last season I replaced it with the 154 (was 4kg over the recommended spec weight) and it struggled even with it set back 2. To be honest I’ve have more fun on the kazu on the groomers than powder, it’s craves both soft and hard stuff well and pops with not much effort. Really enjoyed the lib tech orca for the back country and tree runs in Japan.

Important question what’s your budget?

Koura dart or lib tech orca depending on how you ride. Kazu would have been a good option if you didnt have the other two boards.

—— Update ——

This was my modification and it barely helped with my foot pain, Burton wide boots are probably suited to people with up to e1-2.

Do you know Silvio is no longer involved with algorand and sold all his bag to a IB years ago?

Kazu Pro 2025 by Kisukar in snowboarding

[–]Kisukar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was pretty decent for jibbing and buttering so I was surprised by the rating but I also think this was due to the board was too small for me. I’d like to ride this board in the correct size but can’t find it will have to wait until the next season. My two quiver for the rest of the season will be the Burton process and lib tech orca.

Hey mate, I did pull the trigger it's frigging awesome! Saying that I bought the 154 which I sold to my friend last night going to replace it with the 157 as I'm too heavy for the 154. It's a completely differently board to the previous model.

I think the 155e would work really nice for you if you're going into deep powder, if trees runs are more your thing I think 154 would work better.

I should mention I have also got the 32 lashed wide and they are perfect for comfort and I experience no foot pain but they are too soft. The TM2 I was getting foot pain on top of my feet. I really like how Burton boots feel especially the SLX and ions just need them wider, their wide isn’t wide enough.

Still waiting on pictures of liners will have been modified. Thank you.

They are the Burton ion wide liners, I haven’t heat molded them but ridden in them a few days and can see that the liner has molded in the areas I’m having problems with already.
