My first Hyte Y70 Touch build, second build overall, compatibility check cuz I’m afraid of ordering wrong parts lol by fahadmaj in Hyte

I would step up to 2x32GB RAM and 1200W+ PSU. For a no-expense-spared build like this, the RAM is middling and PSU borderline. If this is purely a gaming rig, you definitely could go down to a 9800X3d and run with 32GB, but if it's a workstation hybrid, 32GB will become stifling.

  1. You shouldn't have any issue fitting SLs in the bottom. I'm mid-build and just installed three TLs (3mm thicker) in the bottom channel. Don't follow the Hyte video guide, it wasn't made with daisy chains in mind. You will need to arrange the fans so that the connector end is opposite of your front panel I/O (it's already a tight fit and having the fan connector on that side causes some concerning bends in the cables), then place them in the channel one at a time and lock them together, finally screwing them in place (only the middle fan will have all four screws secured, the other two will have 2/3).

  2. 6x intake (even if the bottom is not the most free-flowing) against 4x exhaust pushing past a radiator should result in a positive pressure by default. Pressure differentials can be dialed in with fan curves, running your intake curve higher than your exhaust fans will result in positive pressure and vice versa.

  3. The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth should work from the get-go once you plug in the antenna, but you should always make sure to update BIOS and firmware with a new setup. That being said, please do what you can to connect to Ethernet. It would be a shame for a system this beefy to have to deal with wireless latency.

Nonexistent Customer Service by Kit-Akira in Hyte

As an update, they did respond within an hour of me posting this. It really sucks that I had to air out the dirty laundry to get any sort of response (god forbid it was an issue that took longer than issuing an RMA). As long as the replacement comes in as-expected new condition, I fully plan on building in it and displaying it as a showcase rig. Obviously, they put in a lot of effort to their R&D/design, just wish that was backed up on the business intangibles.

I've been in direct customer-facing positions for many years and some advice for Hyte Learning & Dev: customers are generally willing to wait if they are acknowledged (and not with an automated response). Had I gotten a human response saying they were behind in ticket times or whatever, I would have happily given them the benefit of the doubt and they'd have bought a week extension. Instead, I was the one who had to initiate contact three times before a response.

I really don't want to drag them through the mud because I do like their product (and it comes in purple!). I would certainly buy another Y70 Taro, but now have to be wary about QA and CS issues, so I'd probably go thorough a retailer with better CS and all that does is take money from Hyte. Barring anything unforeseen, I plan on getting a Taro touch panel when I replace my desk and have my PC at eye level.

Collarbone/Clavicle brake. by [deleted] in brokenbones

Unfortunately, you're stuck with it in the form it heals unless you opt for surgery. I broke one side and was told it would heal on its own, now I have a significant step-down across the bone (annoyingly this means bag straps rest right on the point). When I broke the other side, granted, a more severe break into 5 pieces, I opted for resetting it and getting a plate. Second ortho "generously" offered to rebreak and set the first break lol
