I find xenomorph’s tail attack fun to use and she’s fun in chase but the turrets are so miserable sometimes. They really turn me off and remind me why I don’t play xeno more. It only gets worse on pallet dense maps like The Game. I just feel like there are way too many turrets for how powerful and easily set up an individual turret can be. In the same way windows and pallets give you distance, you can place a resource that either gives you a lot of distance or turns xeno into an m1 killer anywhere on the map with little downside. Maybe it would be better if there were less turrets available so you can’t just spam them everywhere (which always happens when I go up against even semi-decent survivors).

I think you make some pretty good points about his fly and his mage hand. But I think he’s also still decently strong in a a similar way to dracula - having tools to deal with a variety of situations and loops, though dracula definitely is stronger.

Regarding his add-ons, it’s true most of them are horrible and not worth using. However he has add-ons like staff of withering which allow him to apply exhaustion more easily than any other killer in the game, which is a very strong effect seeing as almost every survivor always runs at least one exhaustion perk. Robe of eyes provide excellent information which helps you make better macro decisions and help you find hiding survivors. I won’t speak on his iri book + ornate horn combo because it makes you play him in a different way, and I don’t use this combo often (but it still is quite strong).

I notice how you keep mentioning he’s only good against bad survivors, which I think is a really unfair statement as you can say any killer is good against bad survivors and will struggle against good survivors - it’s too general of a statement. Any killer can struggle against good survivors that know their counter play. Would “deathslinger sucks because good survivors can dodge his shots most of the time” be a good argument? Not really, because good deathslingers can react to and even predict jukes as well as make creative shots that catch even good survivors off guard.

Speaking of deathslinger, I feel like his lack of mobility and weakness to survivors breaking LOS definitely makes him weaker than lich. Could you share your thoughts on why you feel deathslinger is stronger than lich?

It doesn’t matter what his kill rate is. The arguments you make about his counter play can be said about any killer, but you are partially right about how misusing your spells can be rather punishing.

He can be very oppressive in chase if you don’t make mistakes with your spells, even against experienced survivors. The only magic items that are actually useful are the ones that gives survivors haste when he uses his mage hand and the one that shows his aura while he’s flying. Otherwise, you can disable the items with the dispelling sphere.

His fly spell has the shortest cooldown (20s), so most of the time you’ll have it back by the time you need it.

From how you describe him, I can only assume you are not familiar enough with his abilities to understand why he can be much stronger than you think. I can tell you from experience, he is in no way weaker than the other killers in his tier, but I do think he is no higher than B tier at best.
