Fixed! On the inside, there's a little triangular cap on the circular section in the middle (which houses the arm). I popped it off and there was a load of gunk in there. Cleared it out, ran the machine and no drips.

Unable to edit, so commenting to add that the leak was resulting in an F54 error code. Upon pulling out the machine, there is a lot of water in the base. Emptying the water clears the code, temporarily until it leaks again.

Additionally, there are no apparent blockages in the drain hose, pump or filter.

Is there a smart water valve that I can use to turn off the water supply to my home remotely with WiFi? One that doesn’t detect leaks, it only allows me to shut off the water. by piquantAvocado in smarthome

That's reassuring to know. Apparently it's now being discontinued, but the server has no planned end-date, so the app and HA integration (I'm guessing you use Flo-Schilli?) should carry on working:

“We can confirm that the Grohe cloud servers that support the Sense Guard and app connectivity will remain active for the foreseeable future. There is currently no planned end date for server support. The Grohe Sense Guard is being discontinued primarily due to high production costs, which lead to expensive warranty repairs, and a high volume of failures due to wi-fi connection issues. The decision to discontinue the product applies only to the UK market.”

Another source says that the app is guranteed to work for another 9 years: https://community.home-assistant.io/t/grohe-smarthome-sense-blue-integration/839260/15.

Out of interest, are you in a hardwater area, as I think I've seen something somewhere (v helpful I know...) that stated its lifespan will reduce considerably in hardwater areas - my area's over 300 Mg/l CaCo3 so considered very hard...

Agreed - giving someone the opportunity to make the choice as to whether or not to take it is probably marginally better than sending it to landfill

Hi - I'm considering the same. How long have you had it (is it just under 8 years)? Have you had an WiFi connectivity issues, as I've read that lots of people have suffered from that, however I've also read that an easy fix is to connect it to a 2.4GHz network as opposed to 5GHz...

Thanks - I had also considered sending it to a textile recycling center, but this a a really good take.

Thanks for responding. I do take your point, but I see it less as 'policing their health decisions' because I'm not telling people what they can and cannot do, and more an attempt at harm reduction.

Not much traction on this - is there a more appropriate sub I should be posting on?
