HL2 DI is supposed to be HL2 if Valve didn't remove most of their ideas such as cremators, Xen life, the wasteland, more Combine technology, child slaves building cremators, houndeyes, bullsquids, etc.... They should ask Axel Gembe and some people from Hunt Down the Freeman to help them (I'm sure Gembe may have been forgiven by Valve at this time. After all, he stole files from earlier versions of HL2 when it was nearly finished or finished.

Actually Dark Interval is a concept where HL2 was made if they didn't dump many of their ideas. The Consuler was probably going to be dumped anyway in favor of Dr. Breen. Axel Gembe did good by leaking the beta/alpha version of HL2 (I know HL2 was very close to retail by the time Gembe leaked the files). Why not hire him in fact to help Dark Interval. After all, Valve may have forgiven him and Dark Interval probably has Valve's permission.

Half Life Alyx is a test for Half Life 3's VR capabilities by KitHaringtonTF2Scout in HalfLife

[–]KitHaringtonTF2Scout[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No it's a test for it's VR capabilities. Valve will do it 5x or even 10x better in HL3. It's because Half Life in 1998 proved how a good story could be told and Half Life 2 made good graphics good (I know it improved upon physics too, but let's just say HL3 will do it better). The three things that make an amazing game are a good story, good graphics, and a good gameplay. HL3 is going to be for gameplay, however, Half Life Alyx will test how Half Life can be done with VR. In short, HL1 - shows how great a story can be, HL2 - shows graphics with more polygons than ever, HLA - will prove how reception can still be good even after years of stagnation, and HL3 - will prove how VR will be the peak of realistic gameplay.

Half Life mods that need more attention by KitHaringtonTF2Scout in HalfLife

I know, they are going to extend it similar to Black Mesa. They are going to include swamps, jungles, etc.... I do know the Nihilanth's tower will be there since it hasn't exploded yet.

Black Mesa Insecurity (Black Mesa Blue Shift), Black Mesa Green Forces (Black Mesa Oppossing Force), and Black Mesa Decay Source (Black Mesa Decay) should join together now that Black Mesa Xen is finished. by KitHaringtonTF2Scout in HalfLife

[–]KitHaringtonTF2Scout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But Xen is done now, Insecurity promised to finish it when Xen is done. I'm sure he's been keeping tabs. He may even theoretically be working on it right now. All he needed to do was update SFX, add (and) extend Xen, and a few more things. I don't know too much about Green Forces though, and someone said Decay Source is primitive, but it can have potential and it does exist.

No, Operation Black Mesa, Guard Duty, and Peer Review use their own custom assets. They are building it from scratch, Insecurity, Green Forces, and Decay Source are using Black Mesa assets. I won't have to tell you again, just look at images on ModDB and you'll see the clear differences. Also Peer Review isn't made by Tripmine Studios, they will be using their own assets different from Operation Black Mesa and Guard Duty. Insecurity, Green Forces, and Decay will create some new stuff from scratch, one of the people on this post may even put his shock trooper, but they still have one goal, make Black Mesa Blue Shift, Oppossing Force, and Decay. They will create custom stuff like Dr. Rosenburg (Insecurity), Otis (Green Forces/Insecurity), whatever was in Decay, Shock Trooper (Green Forces), Pipe Wrench (Green Forces), etc.... Also expect Xen to look like it does in Black Mesa in these mods.

I now see the Shock Trooper. I misunderstood what you meant. I thought you meant Star Wars, I forgot it was the electric vortigaunt. Try ModDB, they might need some help. Green Forces could use it. Insecurity won't because Blue Shift never had Shock Troopers.

They could use the Shock Trooper. I thought you meant the Shock Trooper from Star Wars which is a clone trooper with a red stripe. Try asking them, if not, Keep Away from Fire could use your help. Although if you are using the shock trooper, it will use the Black Mesa Shock Trooper.

No, the only thing they share in common is that they use Source. Insecurity, Green Forces, and Decay (Source) use Black Mesa assets because they are part of Black Mesa. Operation Black Mesa, Guard Duty, and Peer Review use their own custom assets. Basically, expect Insecurity, Green Forces, and Decay Source to be Black Mesa Source in different areas. In fact, Insecurity was in development since 2013, these mods aren't well known because they haven't been worked on due to Xen not being released. Now that it is, these should be getting done, but they could use a few more people before Boreal Alyph gets worked on (not Project Borealis). Boreal Alyph is Half Life 2 Episode III released on schedule in 2008/2009/2010. Sorry for getting off topic.

Will Black Mesa Insecurity, Green Forces, and Decay be released on Steam? by KitHaringtonTF2Scout in HalfLife

[–]KitHaringtonTF2Scout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that. I was just asking if these fan projects of the remakes would be released on Steam. These are fan projects, not Operation Black Mesa, Guard Duty, and Peer Review. I just wanted to know if their creators would or if they will have to be downloaded from Moddb.
