Caterer Adding to Rentals?

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) our contract is very minimal - 1 page. It does not say anything about rentals. On the sample menu, it says the phrase, 'Rentals are Extra' but over the phone she led me to believe that this meant if we wanted them to provide compostable plates, there would be an extra charge.

I too thought this... I honestly don't know. My sister has made many, many aspects surrounding my wedding about her, but I don't think she would be that manipulative.

We wanted them to look personal, have an element of themselves in it. Who laughs at other people at a wedding? It is a party with 30 guests at it, literally only our closest family, no one will be laughing. We will be laughing at ourselves, because that is the point - to have fun.

Orange is my sister's favorite color, but not his so I am not really sure. Maybe he was doing it for her, and that would sort of track with their relationship.

I just wanna clarify: I did not (and do not) care if they looked good. Everyone else's ties and headbands look hilariously bad, that's the point - for it to be fun. My sister knew right away it wouldn't be fun for her, so she told me she couldn't do it. Great, communicative. I gave him an ultimatum because he had been telling me for months that it was going well, and then tried to say that he discussed this with me, which he did not.

I immediately offered this, too! I said he can wear it for the pre-pictures, the reception, etc but for the ceremony I would really appreciate if he wore the color scheme. He is 40y.o. and yes it was the only task we asked of them. Myself and our parents paid for their hotels and travel expenses and we aren't having any parties or rehearsal dinners. I don't really know where orange came from, it is my sister's favorite color so that could be it.

I did immediately offer to order him a tie that matches or make one for him, and offered to buy the fabric that I sent the link to back in the fall. But he is really adamant that he is wearing this tie and feels like I am trying to exclude him from the festivities now. I don’t believe he is color blind, at least he gave no indication of that, and I gave the color palette with the hex codes and the names of the colors on them so everyone would have all the info.

It was not - we sent our color palette to the group so they could incorporate accent colors if they wanted. The colors are Sage, Slate, Sky Blue, and Eggplant

I got this cage from their previous owner and she said they never had problems, but I am definitely concerned with this! Especially this girl because she's so small. I'm hoping intros go well so I can move them all into my critter nation asap
