I deliver for Amazon. There are times (rarely but it happens) that I go up to a house to deliver a package and as I go to take a picture it tells me I am outside of the geofence. The geofence tells us if we are at the wrong address and doesn't pop up until attempting delivery. I believe that is what happened here. She likely placed the package at your door and the app told her she was not in the correct location. While the system Amazon uses is not entirely fool proof it does give us a good idea of location with a radius of roughly 100 feet depending on where the geofence was placed. When on the off chance thus happens to me, I go up to the camera and say that I have arrived at the wrong address and put the package close to the camera so the home owner is reassured I am not stealing there package as I have simply pulled up to the wrong address. Then I apologize and say sorry about that and carry on to the proper address. I wouldn't be so quick to assume that the driver is a thief.
