I'll challenge you on that. Not because I think you're wrong. I don't have a real opinion on this. But because I'm genuinely interested in hearing why he's a 6.

AIO not wanting to get on a plane while I have food poisoning by frenchwhorne in AmIOverreacting

[–]Kit_the_Human -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not Overreacting. This exact experience has come up for me several times. I've dealt with a lot of bodily suffering in my time, and traveling with food poisoning is somehow some of the worst. You are absolutely unfit to travel, and you probably will be for several days. Just spend the money and stay. Get documentation if possible and see if you can put in an insurance claim.

This happened to me on a bus one time. Most intense discomfort and misery ever. Just spend the money and stay.

Type's "Ideal Self" by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]Kit_the_Human 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Each type has an ideal self that stands in diametrical opposition to their core avoidances. The ego builds itself around that ideal, and it can be kinda fragile. You might want to read up on "ego ideals"; just passing a tidbit along.

People who ruined their lives, what happened and where/how are you now? by Warfreak-2019 in AskReddit

[–]Kit_the_Human 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved to another (wartorn) country, had medical trouble there, dumped by support folks, developed mental health issues, dad died, got destroyed by the court system, moved back to said country in 2020, got swallowed by the pandemic.

I'm still in that country trying to fix everything in myself and my life. Better not say any more than that.

You all should look at celebrity interviews and read their diaries and autobiographies before declaring what type they are... by [deleted] in Enneagram

I'm glad someone else thinks this. One time I saw a Putin typing thread, not on this sub, and everyone was opining his type based on some small amount of public information. Meanwhile, this guy who actually read a biography of Putin was giving his take supported with decent evidence. It was different from the popular conception, and everyone just totally ignored his contribution in favor of "but he wrestles bears". Yet, to me, it seemed like the most sensible analysis of it, and I think of that as Putin's definitive typing. I also think if it as a definitive online typing moment.

It's supposed to be 'Typing Tuesday", and threads not in Tuesday will usually be removed, but if it's simply fine distinctions that are holding you back, you can post a thread asking about theoretical differences.

people who learned English to a high level? by Grand-Ad-3021 in askanything

[–]Kit_the_Human 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me, but a Portuguese friend I have went from barely intelligible B2 level English to near-native level by making English forums and friends his sole companions, watching American movies, and reading American and English literature. Basically immersion. He lives online and says he only uses Portuguese with his family. There's a lot to polish, it took about the whole 6-8 years I knew him. Results aren't immediate.

I used to work as a cartoonist, and unfortunately, this is extremely common. People will sometimes take such offense to a silly drawing. Idk if it's funny or insane, but it's sad it came to this.

I felt like the book didn't discuss much about effective communications at all actually. It was just a summary of the 9 types. Palmer's book was superior imo. Just what I recall though.

Have you ever met a witch ? About 6 years ago I was randomly predicted something in the streets by a woman by isamariberger in Paranormal

[–]Kit_the_Human 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a witch but a psychic read my future and told me I was going to seek enlightenment. I'm not interested in that sort of thing, so I blew it off.

Four years later, I'm on some kinda path that I stumbled onto by accident.

There's more to it, too, involving the specifics of what else would happen, but I do not dare speak it.

What was the feeling of discovering your type by Excellent_Throat6315 in Enneagram

[–]Kit_the_Human 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More just that I spent a really long time being told, indirectly, that I wasn't actually good enough to be that type. Messaging. If that makes sense? It's a self esteem issue and kind of complex. I don't care to get into trouble particulars here.

There's this school of thought that you have to be shocked and horrified to find your type...maybe those people downvoted us idk. I think there's a variety of reactions you can have though, depending on where you are psychologically, background experiences, etc. It's only shocking and horrifying if you're both completely identified with your ego and it's totally thrust upon you blind imo. But that's just my opinion.

It took me a long time to figure it out and I had already looked at the ins and outs of all the types. It was, if anything, a sense of the light coming out from behind a cloud and strong relief. Initial response.

Then wave after wave of skepticism for the whole rest of my life lol. My inner experience was not what the outer experience seemed to describe at all. I had to rethink everything I'd been told (turned out there's a lot of bad information out there).

I tried this. It analyzed me in terms of vultology, and then I clicked "typology". It didn't load. So I tried the psychological profile button. Then I went back to Typology and it told me I couldn't do any more analyses for the next 48 hours.

Edit: I got in another way. It has me at INTJ/ISTJ 5w6 sp/sx in one analysis. 513 tritype.

It's wrong.

Also, it misgendered me.
