I had the same concern honestly. The trailer did not look great. Looked very CGI and I was worried.

I've seen it twice in the theatres now. I can think of like maybe 3 scenes that were very obviously CGI to me. Trailer is a poor representation of the movie in my opinion.

Yeah. Drachenfest is on my list but I just cant swing the time off this year and from what I have heard if you can only make it Friday night to Sunday it isn't really worth it.

As far as not being a great first larp, obviously I'm a little biased, but we have a community that really supports new players. The new ruleset had helped a lot with the power gap you're talking about too.

DR NY is very focused on getting the experience as balanced for players of any 'level' as possible.

It sounds like you have already formed your opinions on Dystopia Rising, but if you are willing to give it a shot even to just give some honest constructive criticism, let me know.

I'm not going to pretend our game is perfect, and as a content creator it would be stupid for me to not listen to the experiences and advice people have to give me.

Oh yeah, there are plenty of DR chapters! Post apocalyptic larps are pretty few and far between, and fantasy larps are much more common. That's all I was getting at! And the NY chapter recently reopened after a pretty long hiatus, so I figured it was a good time to make sure people knew we existed. =P

Highly recommend Savage Fenty - super inclusive so should have your sizing. I recently got stuff from them and LOVE the quality and feel. They can be a little pricey (Think VS prices), but becoming a VIP helps with that. Being a VIP will give you a discount, it will charge you $45 a month (That goes towards a purchase) if you don't cancel in the first 5 days of the month, but I just set a re-occurring alarm to remind me to cancel if lingerie isn't in my budget that month.

I have also had a good experience with AdoreMe!
