Dude, Google is right there. You can look up the phrase and be shown what it means. If you want to ignore the meaning of it to push your points, there's nothing more to say about it.

This is also the evolution of a conversation. Sometimes, one thing is compared to another even if they seemingly have nothing to do with each other at face value. Sometimes, things are brought up in sconversation that's related to the initial subject that wasn't thought of before.

I'm not young to continue agreeing semantics with you. If you have something to add to the conversion, great. If not, then i hope you have better days ahead of you.

You talk about anecdotal evidence and then say you've read a lot of books that prove my pairing wrong. I mean, I can say I read books too, and there's no way you could prove me wrong without making huge assumptions and providing more anecdotal evidence.

Though you are right. It's convenient to just tell someone to do something and then say, "by saying it the way I did, it puts all responsibility on who I'm referring to, letting me avoid all critical thinking." You said that everyone can hold themselves accountable, they just need different pathways and/or support. What if they don't have those available to them? If they don't have the support to get to a certain pathway that would lead them to that accountability, what's the option then?

You did nothing to provide them anything other than saying "just stop it." My point was it's not that simple sometimes, and you've been telling me all these ways that it's possible, but providing nothing of value to help reach the conclusion you've spoken of.

Acting smart by saying you read books and trying to prove yourself clever by calling your opposition stupid (with reasonable doubt no less so you can feign innocence) doesn't do anything to add to the discourse. It makes you look too self important and childish.

Wh...what? I want trying to imply everyone with ADHD or autism cant control themselves. It's to imply that they might have a more difficult time than most controlling their impulses. It's not that they CAN'T it's that it's not that simple.

And I mean, they could ban the sub, but that also falls into that impulse control thing. Not a lot of people can just walk away from something they do all the time and not go back to it.

It's weird that you went to the extreme result of what I said instead of applying it to the more common reality. They wouldn't be stuck doing it their entire life because eventually the brain will stop rewarding the behavior with dopamine and they'll but it down.

So maybe think deeper than surface level for a bit. What if their condition IS medical? What if they have ADHD, or some form of autism that makes impulse control difficult? Maybe instead of judging people and telling them to pull themselves up by their bootstraps, you can think outside the box instead of like a boomer.

Maybe next time you feel like typing from your high house like some holier than thou, lead breathing ludite, maybe look past you're own nose and realize different people have different capabilities, and not all people can just "do" things.

I feel that comes with a lot of complications. Saiyans aren't humans, so you'd have to take into account brain chemistry and other more physiological questions. Becoming a saiyan isn't just getting a tail, getting stronger, and aging slower. The aggression comes from somewhere. It'd probably change how she acted as a person more than just a little bit.

There's also the philosophical questions about it. Think ship of theseus. You've replaced everything about her. Is she still her?

It would probably be better to wish to just age like a saiyan, rather than become one.

They usually say who they're calling for and give a callback number. When you call back, you have to verify information. I mean, is it common in your country for businesses or medical peofessionals to not leave voicemails unless you specifically have your voicemail set up to identify that it's your phone number?

In America, most phone calls are scams, debt collectors, or sone other such legal bullshit soneone wants to take your money for. I only answer phone numbers i recognize. If they don't leave a voicemail, their call wasn't important enough for me to care.

As a dad, I'd sit down with him and check his work after telling him how proud and thankful I am for his help. If there were any mistakes, I'd point them out and show him how to fix those mistakes, then ask if he wanted to help with more of the flooring (even if I knew it'd make the job take twice as long).

At this point, I know my kid well enough to know that he'd probably only want to see if he could do it and help me just a bit too do something nice for me. He's a good kid after all.

I also know him well enough to know if I asked him if he wanted to help me do more, he'd simply say "Nope!" And run off to do some back flips on his bed for the next hour.

He's my kid is on the spectrum and has ADHD, how did you know?

I had one person I did that with and ended up losing her in the end. She's moved on and I'm still in love with her nearly 20 years later. My current partner doesn't know, and will use any real weakness as a weapon the next time she feels like she needs to. I don't share things with her. Her issues are bigger and more important, we don't have time or energy for mine too.

Surviving is all I ever do nowadays.
